Aubrey Plaza says NYU let her move out of her dorm early after it became infested with mice. Aubrey Plaza: I go to New York, my parents drop me off on Third Avenue and 11th Street. Amy Poehler: Oh my God, I used to live around there, near Webster Hall. Aubrey Plaza: Yeah, I lived in the Third North dorms. Then I ended up moving out earlier than you’re technically allowed to because there was a mice issue. Amy Poehler: Ooh. Amy Poehler: There were too many mice? They were like, “You have to leave”? The mice took over? Aubrey Plaza: The mice took over to the point where, I’ll never forget, I was on the top bunk. Amy Poehler: No. Aubrey Plaza: I was being really quiet because I was reading a book or something, and nobody else was in the room. Amy Poehler: You were as quiet as a mouse. Aubrey Plaza: I was as quiet as a mouse. I was just reading for maybe 20 minutes, and all of a sudden… Amy Poehler: Mm-hmm. Aubrey Plaza: There was a Thanksgiving Day parade of mice. They were like having trumpets, going, “Doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo!” They were all parading back and forth, like selling things. Amy Poehler: Oh my God. Aubrey Plaza: It was like a flea market. They came out and it was insane. I was like, “Ah!” Amy Poehler: On your floor? Aubrey Plaza: On the ground, like in our clothes. It wasn’t even a messy room. They were just everywhere, like they were wearing my clothes, running around, dancing. Amy Poehler: They were like those Richard Scarry books. Remember those? They were like building things and driving little cars. Aubrey Plaza: Yeah, yeah! Little pickle car, yeah! Amy Poehler: Yes. Aubrey Plaza: It was insane. I was screaming, “This is fucking disgusting.” Amy Poehler: And NYU was like, “You got to get out.” Aubrey Plaza: They were like, “Be quiet and get out.”

Nick Offerman said people still call him Ron Swanson, and some are so intimidated they approach him shaking and scared. Nick Offerman: And you’re just like, “You guys, that was a long time…” Amy Poehler: That was a long, you know, my son just turned 17, which is when we started the show. Seventeen years ago. Nick Offerman: Holy cow. Amy Poehler: And, I know, think about that. Nick Offerman: (laughs) Amy Poehler: And, the fact that there’s still, people are still dressing up for Ron Swanson at Halloween. I mean, he is, he is this person that people feel con— what is it like, almost 20 years later, interacting with that kind of work? Like, how do people interact with you? Nick Offerman: It’s interesting. I mean, mostly, first of all, I’m so stupidly grateful, like from star— soup to nuts. And also, people are so nice to me and respectful, I think of Ron, like, people approach me with a deference… Amy Poehler: (laughs) Nick Offerman: …and also a little fear. Amy Poehler: Yeah. Aubrey Plaza compares the grief of losing her husband to a horror movie. Amy Poehler: You lost your husband. Aubrey Plaza: Yeah. Amy Poehler: You’ve been dealing with that, and you’ve been looking for all different ways in which to feel and find support. And I think I would, on behalf of all the people who feel like they know you and the people who do know you, ask: how are you feeling today? Aubrey Plaza: Um, I’m… I mean, right in this very, very present moment, I feel happy to be with you. Amy Poehler: Mhm. Aubrey Plaza: Um, I feel… overall, I’m here, and I’m functioning, and I feel, you know, like I feel really grateful to be moving through the world. Amy Poehler: Mhm. Aubrey Plaza: I think, like, I’m okay, but, you know, it’s like a daily struggle, obviously. This is like a really dumb analogy, but… and it was kind of a joke at some point, but like, I actually mean it. Did you see that movie, The Gorge? Amy Poehler: No. Aubrey Plaza: Okay. Amy Poehler: Horror movie? Aubrey Plaza: It’s like a sci-fi alien movie or something. Amy Poehler: Okay, okay, okay. Aubrey Plaza: With, like, Miles… Amy Poehler: Teller? Aubrey Plaza: Teller. And, um… but it’s like, in the movie, there’s like a cliff on one side, and then there’s like a cliff on the other side, and then there’s this, like, gorge in between, and it’s like filled with all these, like, monster people that are trying to get them. And, like, I swear when I watched it, I was like, “That feels like what my grief is like,” or what grief could be like, where it’s like, at all times, there’s like a giant ocean of just awfulness that’s, like, right there, and I can, like, see it. Amy Poehler: Mhm. Aubrey Plaza: And, like, sometimes I just want to, like, dive into it and just be in it. And then sometimes I just look at it. And then sometimes I try to get away from it… Amy Poehler: Mhm. Aubrey Plaza: …but it’s always there. It’s just always there, and the monster people are trying to get me, like Miles Teller. Amy Poehler: Yeah. And… and, uh, Anya… Aubrey Plaza: And Anya Taylor-Joy. Amy Poehler: Yeah.

A 36-year-old man in Colorado is suing the hospital where he was born for allegedly switching him with another child at birth. Jeremy Morrison says he always felt different than his family and decided to get a DNA test a couple of years ago. When he got the test back, he found out that his parents were not actually his parents. "I know I definitely wouldn’t be here in Colorado today if I went home with the right parents. I would have been working the farm with my older brother that I never knew I had," he said. Morrison says he was switched with Kyle Bylin, who was born just hours apart at the same hospital in Grafton, North Dakota, in 1988. Morrison went home with Bylin's biological parents, and Bylin went home with Morrison's biological parents. Both of the men and their families are suing Unity Medical Center. They are demanding more than $50,000 and a jury trial. According to KKTV, both parents have now met their biological sons.

Matt Damon opens up about the brutal reality of his sleep schedule, how having kids ruined it, and why filming his latest movie forced him onto the "Odyssey 5" rule where 5 hours felt like a miracle. Amy Poehler: Incredible. What's your sleep situation? Do you sleep? Do you love to sleep? You got teenagers in the house. Matt Damon: Once you had kids, did you ever sleep well again? Amy Poehler: No, it wasn't until they got older. It was a huge stretch where I felt like I didn't sleep for 10 years. Matt Damon: I've been a lighter sleeper. But on this movie, me and the PAs had a joke called "the Odyssey 5", if you could get 5 hours of sleep, you were thrilled. Amy Poehler: That's tough. That's not a lot of sleep. Matt Damon: It wasn't, but it was enough. Though I realized 5 is the cutoff. There were some 4-hour nights, and two nights where I didn't sleep at all. Amy Poehler: Because you were working? Matt Damon: No, I got home overly tired, sat there, missed the sleep window, and started panicking. Amy Poehler: You missed the window and felt like, "Tomorrow I literally have to lift a rock through the mud." Matt Damon: Yeah, like "I have to do sprints tomorrow." Amy Poehler: "Hardest day!" It seemed so hard. Matt Damon: It was hard for everybody, but that's what made it wonderful.

Michelle Obama reveals she avoids using Apple Pay and steers clear of digital smartphone apps due to deep concerns about being tracked Michelle Obama: At certain times of the year, I can walk in a town and just go shopping... Sometimes I forget how to use my credit card. Amy Poehler: Well, now you don't have to. Now you just use Apple Pay... You know Apple Pay, right? Michelle Obama: I do, but I don't use it. I'm trying to not do stuff on my phone. Amy Poehler: Well, that's a little boomer-y, Michelle. Michelle Obama: I know, but I don't want to be tracked. Amy Poehler: We're all tracked. We're all cooked. There's no way not to be. Michelle Obama: But what if they get your phone information and take your information? You own a house... Amy Poehler: Everyone's going to have their identity stolen 15 times in their lifetime. That doesn't matter anymore. We're in real trouble. Michelle Obama: When the system crashes, I'm still going to have cash. I have cash in my wallet untouched for a decade. Amy Poehler: I do love cash. My dad always taught me to always have cash on you. Michelle Obama: Maybe I shouldn't have said that to the world... But I guess I'm good because I also have this security guy with a gun.

“Obey your parents. You say, "Oh, yeah. Parents always say that." Yeah, that's what the Bible says. Let me tell you something. If you don't know how to obey your parents, you're not going to make it in the world because you won't know how to submit to anybody. If you can ride roughshod and trample your parents, lots of luck for your boss. We know it's reiterated in Ephesians 6. Obey your parents.” “Obey your parents. And parents chapter 1 and through chapter 2 as well. Just for the sake of time, let me hurry and I'll finish off the list. You can follow it up. Fear your God. Guard your mind. Obey your parents. Select your companions. Number five, control your body. Control your body. And this again is all through this section, but maybe we can just sort of land on 5:22 and 23. His own iniquities will capture the wicked and he will be held with the cords of his own sin. He will die for lack of instruction and in the greatness of his folly he will go astray.” — 2012 Resolved Conference: Masculinity and the Church | John MacArthur

John Cena reveals WWE referees relay live backstage instructions to wrestlers during matches. John Cena: I thought that was real. Amy Poehler: No, it’s fake. (laughs) John Cena: Anyway, I have the referee saying, “You have 17 minutes left. You have 16 minutes left.” So it’s all happening in real time. There are coaches watching you from behind a curtain who tell the referee what they think you should do. Amy Poehler: Right. You’re getting notes in real time. John Cena: In real time! Amy Poehler: That’s why live TV is so… John Cena: It’s crazy. That’s why I wanted to do it forever. I just physically can’t do it anymore. Whenever anyone asks what I like more, wrestling or acting, it’s wrestling. That’s why I got run out of Hollywood the first time. Amy Poehler: You talked about that. I love what you said. John Cena: Look at what we just talked about. That’s great. You can feel the excitement. Amy Poehler: The knowledge, the excitement, the performance. John Cena: When you get fluent at it, you start thinking, “I understand this. I’ll do this.” Then the challenge becomes, “The UK crowd is throwing a beach ball around. How do I work that into the act? Go get that thing and pop it. When you come back, I’ll give you my finish.” It’s all happening in real time. I’ve had people get married, I’ve had people start fights in the stands, and we work it all into the act because you’re prepared. Amy Poehler: That’s amazing. John Cena: It’s not that we want it. It just is. Amy Poehler: It’s the opposite of doing stand-up and not wanting a heckler. You want people listening and participating. John Cena: In stand-up, the protocol is, “Enjoy the comedy. Don’t heckle.” In wrestling, you’ve paid your money to heckle, and there are 12,000 of you. Good luck. You can heckle as a group. Chants start that are too hot for TV, Netflix has to mute the audio, and the sound literally cuts out. It’s crazy.

An adult daughter stood at her parents’ front door, speaking into the Vivintin, camera with a bag in hand. “Mom, Dad… I know you’re home. I see your cars. I want to come back. I’ll be responsible this time.” Then she walked away and waited in her car outside. Moments like this are heavy, full of history, second chances, and difficult decisions on both sides. Do you think her parents should open the door and give her another chance, or is it sometimes better to hold the line?
