Andy talks about organized religion, because he’s created a movement that’s about story telling which is more about pampering a person’s feelings. He says people stepped away from religion because they can’t believe God will send someone to hell. Wait for it. He tells people to hang on to...

I've said before, don't understand why people are not happy with preaching the Gospel directly from the Bible. Think of what a wonderful large congregation and following he has, but its like he's got to put some spin on it to make him different, to make him popular.

It’s called story telling, and it’s horrible. Donald Miller uses it and others like John Maxwell who’ve had a huge influence on churches like Andy’s. They really do make light of the gospel because they think and want others to believe that organized religion is the boogie man.

Not 1 ounce of scripture was quoted 2 back up his philosophy. He has convinced people that they should “untether” themselves from the scriptures and remove themselves from that “box” only 2 for them 2 form another “box” by which they put Jesus in and form their own false religion

My pastor keeps talking about how faith and Christianity is about "having a relationship with Jesus" not "rules". They continue to ignore that the entire gospel and most the words out of Jesus own mouth are about one rule, "Repent".

The truth of Scripture is too much for him. He would much rather appeal to those who wants their ears tickled. It shows the intention of his heart. He'd much rather be popular w the world and hates the souls of those lost to lead them astray.

“So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.” Romans 10:17 This preaching is popular psychology. It’s purpose is to not be offensive. Jesus is offensive to the world. The world hates Jesus.

What if I told you that the most loving person who ever lived — Jesus Christ — spoke more about hell than about heaven? He did so not to scare you, but to warn you. Hell is not a myth. It is not a metaphor. According to the Bible, it is far more terrifying than most people are willing to imagine. Why did Jesus talk about hell so much? Because He didn’t come merely to comfort people — He came to save them. You don’t save someone from something that isn’t real. In Matthew 10:28, Jesus said: “Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.” That is not symbolic language. It is a direct warning. Hell is not just physical suffering — it is eternal separation from God. If God is the source of all love, peace, joy, and light, then hell is the complete absence of all of it. Jesus described hell in deeply unsettling terms. In Mark 9:43, He said it is better for you to enter life maimed than with two hands to go into hell, “where the fire never goes out.” In other places, He called it outer darkness — a place of weeping and gnashing of teeth (Matthew 8:12). Think about that contrast: fire yet darkness, pain with no escape, existence without hope. This isn’t just punishment. It is eternal regret — remembering every chance you had to turn to God, every moment you ignored Him, every time you said, “I’ll deal with it later,” only to realize there is no “later.” The most sobering truth most people don’t talk about is this: hell is not temporary. Jesus makes it clear in Matthew 25:46: “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”
