The issue is he did call it a foul tip. But then Angel being Angel he changed his call so that they couldn't review it and prove him wrong.

@TalkinBaseball_ How does he get to still be an MLB umpire. He’s so bad, baseball fans know him by name. And not because of a single notorious bad call like Jim Joyce, but rather because he’s constantly bad. I get that they have a union but this is bad for baseball.

@JomboyMedia I understand somebody had to be most hated umpire after Joe West retired, but he’s gotta go now too. It’s CB Bucknor or Phil Cuzzi’s time to shine in the 1 spot. It’s not even comical at this point.

It looks to me like Angel signaled foul tip initially. But later as Jomboy pointed out, he says that he swung as the ball hit him. So idk what he’s thinking.

How is this guy still employed by MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL?
