Angela Rayner says her working class background means she understands what opportunities people want. Speaking to Channel 4 News, the Deputy PM defended Labour's track record on benefits and insisted that the party has not 'lost it's way'.

By all means give people opportunities but how is reducing benefits for the most sick and disabled going to achieve that. Not everyone is capable of work and in effect withdrawing PIP, ESA and the health element from many of those people is only plunge them into greater poverty.

What Rayner fails to point out is that she supports all the government's shit decisions. Forget the guff about opportunities and the understanding and the background. She backs every policy, irrespective of whether it harms poorer or disadvantaged communities.

That's the problem, she genuinely thinks she represents the working class. Despite the working class constantly stating otherwise.
