I love the mix of slower and faster shots, as the whole fight is fast but for the audience they slow it down to show what happens but also reminding us it’s actually a fast pace fight

Animation hasn’t changed as much as people think. What’s changed is the tools on how it’s done. The outcome depends on a lot of things mainly time and money. I could be completely wrong this is just my opinion based on a few surface level facts
