The entire movie is so BEAUTIFUL

I love how the whole final sequence is a big reference to what came before in Gurren Lagann (obviously since Trigger is one of the two successors of Gainax), the crossed arms and especially that mech design!

People will say that they weren't intended to be a couple, but they are literally making a reference to another trigger couple here The blonde one even has his clothes ripped apart
