These two shots were alllllll about contrast. Two versions of the same soul face each other. One of our must-haves going into this project was to create duality through our visual language in order to show these two versions of the same person, Sirius and Orion. We'd JUST seen Sirius and Orion shoot through the vacuum of space and crash into the planet Venus in an explosion of fire. So… we think at this moment, this first look, the stillness of their fixation on each other, says a lot. It’s no moment of light relief though, it really goes to show the power these two hold. That nothing from all this world shattering chaos and destruction makes them even flinch. Badass. It was #OTD in 2003 that a shouting match erupted in the dugouts between Dusty Baker and Tony LaRussa. The #Cubs and Cardinals were in the middle of a 5 game series at Wrigley Field. The Cardinals came into the series in 1st place, the Astros in 2nd a game behind, and the Cubs in 3rd, 2 1/2 games back. In the 4th game with the Cubs down 2-0, Cardinal pitcher dan haren hit Cubs starter Matt Clement. Benches were warned and that’s when both managers began shouting at each other. The Cubs were down 6-0 in the 6th, but thu would comeback and win this one 8-7! The Cubs would take 4 out of 5 games, jump into 2nd place, and the Cardinals would finish out of the playoff picture. Great call by Chip Caray and Steve Stone

You use the same animation, animation-timeline, and animation-range. But, you use animation-direction: reverse on one of the images so they go in the opposite direction 🫶 The use of mix-blend-mode: plus-lighter; produces a better cross-fade result 💯 A viewTimeline (view()) works because you know that both images are the same height. Split layout framework update. Since the last video: focus views animate, corner drags can move both axes, cross-window drag and drop with animation, all animations backed by CoreAnimation, and full accessibility framework integration (e.g. compat with VoiceOver). The focus view work was the hardest and most complicated. We allow caller-provided SwiftUI views for the focus style, but have to drop that back to a native AppKit/UIKit hosted view for smooth CoreAnimation integration with our other animations so they move in lock-step with our other stuff. Lot of work to get that to work, but I think it turned out great. The caller lives in easy SwiftUI land we handle that complexity. The animation timings and curves need to be tweaked. I think some animations are too long or don't feel right. But thats just parameterization at this point...
