Anime VS Light Novel

I don't know why in the anime they remove everything romantic between Mai and Sakuta and only leave the funny or tragic. On several occasions they have kissed, but so far in the anime we have not seen any.

The anime has done so much disservice to the characters by not giving any romantic side to them at all, it's frustrating. Like there's a valid argument for not having fan service but you've got to show atleast some romantic emotions to let the audience believe in their relatnship

they always gotta mess sum up and of course its that 😭its like they got no emotion. all that just for them now to kiss, what is this btw?
