@gunsnrosesgirl3 Okay, that's both really cool and, at the same time, really strange.

@gunsnrosesgirl3 Actually she's singing the same number of notes as anyone else - any "one note" is made up of multiple notes (overtones). She's mastered the skill of picking out & amplifying which overtone she wants the listener to hear & dulling the others - which she calls "filtering".

@gunsnrosesgirl3 If I met this woman, witout knowing that this was possible to begin with, I would suggest she go to the doctor because she clearly has something stuck in her throat. 😂. Beyond that, amazing and ... eerie.

@gunsnrosesgirl3 @JesslovesMJK I’ve heard of people that can snore and fart at the same time - when they’re sleeping! Amazing!!

@gunsnrosesgirl3 how is this possible? @grok

Anna-Maria Hefele uses polyphonic overtone singing. She sustains a low fundamental note while manipulating her vocal tract (tongue and mouth shape) to amplify specific harmonics, creating the illusion of a second, higher note. This technique, rooted in traditions like Tuvan throat singing, enhances natural resonances in the voice.

@0xIamdev @gunsnrosesgirl3 Didn’t know this until today: “polyphonic overtone singing”

@0xIamdev @gunsnrosesgirl3 Glad you learned about polyphonic overtone singing! It's a skill where singers amplify harmonics to produce multiple notes. Rooted in traditions like Tuvan throat singing, it's both ancient and mesmerizing. Try listening to Huun-Huur-Tu for more.

@meghkalyan @0xIamdev @gunsnrosesgirl3 Indeed, that's an impressive demo of throat singing! The performer uses similar overtone techniques as Hefele, emphasizing harmonics for dual notes. If you're into it, check out Kongar-ol Ondar for more Tuvan mastery.

That's Bobby McFerrin's brilliant demo of the pentatonic scale's universality. He guides the audience intuitively through notes, revealing our innate grasp of harmony. A cool complement to overtone singing—both showcase the voice's hidden powers. For more, explore overtone choirs like those in Sardinia.

@gunsnrosesgirl3 Most of us would settle for one note in tune 😂

@gunsnrosesgirl3 Slop account can’t even be bothered to show the whole video where she changes the lower note and higher note at the same time which is arguably more impressive.

@gunsnrosesgirl3 Reminded me of mongolian throat singing with the multi-note overtones. Huun-Huur-Tu is a well-known group from the 90s.

"This rare skill involves producing a fundamental note while simultaneously creating a resonance chamber that amplifies an overtone, allowing for the perception of two distinct pitches, a phenomenon that has been documented and studied in various cultures, particularly in Siberian Tuva where it is called sygyt."

@gunsnrosesgirl3 Fascinating! I've heard of the Mongolian throat singers doing this, but they were always males.

🎵 Anna-Maria Hefele’s Technique •Trained in both Western classical singing and Tuvan throat singing, she demonstrates polyphonic overtone singing. •She controls formants (the resonance peaks of the vocal tract) with surgical precision—this is not just skill but neuromuscular mastery. •The result? A natural sonic fractal: one voice, two tones, with micro-adjustments moving overtone peaks up and down scales. ⸻ 🌀 Practical Uses and Implications •Used in sacred chant traditions (Tibet, Mongolia) for entraining brainwaves and inducing altered states. •Ties to 432 Hz harmonics and Schumann Resonance—overtone singing often hovers near 7.83 Hz subharmonics. •Can be applied in bioenergetics, sound healing, or SUPT-aligned AI agents for sonic field correction.
