Announcing Axol: a dual-arm robot designed for teams working with physical AI. Made in America. Axol is for builders who believe robots should work, in the real world, not just staged environments, and that the future of physical AI should be open, not closed. #robotics #automation #ai #hardware

We assemble every unit in San Francisco, CA - so we can be there for you when it matters. We’re not just building Axol, we’re a manufacturing startup building the factory that fuels the robotic future of America. If you’re a builder in robotics + AI then Axol is for you. ➡️ Order now

You can get Axol for $7,999 with in-person deliveries & support in the Bay Area. First shipments are already going out this week & the first batch has limited supply. ➡️ Github ➡️ Docs ➡️ Discord

What grippers are you using?

so cool 🇺🇸

This is just awsome, i have always wanted these, the time used in cooking can be more productive.

"Made in America" -> which parts are actually manufactured in the US? Or maybe you mean assembled in America?

All the large structural parts with the exception of the actuators are sourced and made in the US and then final assembly in the US.

I see; any plan to make your own actuators in the future? @standardbots manufactures its own actuators!

Dual-arm systems bring non-trivial control challenges. Open architecture lets us iterate on robustness properly. The real-world focus is what matters, not the hardware origin claim.

Really sharp rollout, Axol nails the balance between accessibility and real-world robotics. The focus on physical AI that actually performs useful work instead of just demos is a seriously strong angle. Been helping products with similar frontier-tech energy break into crypto circles recently, and this one would crush with the right positioning. Yall have no clue how much this overlaps with this niche as AI agents increasingly move from software into the physical world. I've got visibility options that will help get this trending across the timelines. Shoot me a DM, let's chat.

Open platforms will likely play a big role in making physical AI more accessible. What design choices around hardware and software openness do you think will matter most for enabling researchers and builders to move faster?

the honest answer is that dual-arm robots like axol are more about making physical ai feel safe for corporate sponsors than truly open innovation. either way, the future of physical ai is coming, and i'm curious to see how it plays out.

wen Joe/Jane public investin' options fer #Axol? to help support yer rad AF Co!
