Announcing: DISCOBOT🤖🎉 My personal coding agent session manager. I built this for myself so I can vibe code faster. Watch the video, link to the project thread below. I'll be live streaming today at 10AM PT to fully demo it and talk about why I built it.

Discobot! Coding Agent Session Manager

I messed up on time zones and went live an hour too early. You can watch it here.

I like this a lot more than most things that I've seen, so this is really cool. It's very similar to how I work with cursor cloud agents, except that you're actually running it on your local machine. It's really easy to test things out, and I think that's pretty cool. I like being able to turn my computer off and pick things back up from my phone to send another prompt along, but it would be nice to make it easier to test things out. Right now I just have to pull down the branch and run it, which is a couple more steps than what you have to do. This is really cool, Darren. Good job!

Yeah I designed this with the idea of portability of the coding sessions. I too want to be able to move a session out to the Cloud. If I have time I'm going to work on these things. I thought it'd be fun to build a mobile app. I've never done that before.

This is pretty good Darren! I have been using the Codex app which gives me a lot of freedom to do parallel stuff but I like this one has built in preview and separation of tasks! great product for just one month of work!👏

Thanks

Congrats!

Smart to build it for yourself first. Everyone tries to build the universal version and it never ships

wow this is so sick...

Looks cool. As a real product rather than a personal project

Are you planning to support Ollama cloud?

Very nice! I’ve been working on something similar to Ramp’s Inspect but leveraging agent-sandbox in k8s. Did you consider that as an option?

I wanted something simple and lightweight. So don't want to use k8s. If I'm trying to run remote sandboxes then I would look at something like that but right now I'm focusing on everything running on your laptop.

Got it. Thanks for sharing

session portability is the part that excites me most. being able to move context between local and cloud is underrated

I'm curious though. If you move to the cloud you're gonna have to pay for resources somehow. Do you care about that. The alternative is to keep sessions in the same place but then be able to access them from anywhere.
