A lot of you asked for an immediate access to fff.nvim and here you go! Introducing fff.nvim public beta. It's a smart file picker for neovim that does have - typo resistant file finder - git status support (naively via libgit2) - frecency and whole bunch of different sorts It's in beta thus I didn't do everything I want yet but already welcoming first users to try/test/contribute!

And I am not joking it is fraeking crazy that fff can do exact file search code search on the whole linux repo (7GB, 100k files) in real time but also it can do TYPO RESISTANT FUZZY CODE SEARCH *mostly* real time (just about 160ms delay per word)

I significantly improved typo resistant matching performance for fff so today I completely migrate my searches to typo resistant grep now I can search *any query* real time on the 40m lines of code repository with typos, missing words, wrong delimiters/casing and so on

Features: - Hex editor and you can save the edited file - Mach-O symbols - ELF and PE basic metadata - Zip file contents - Fully client-side in-browser, so it is private and the files are never sent anywhere This is meant as a basic and quick tool to check simple metadata and do hex edits. If you need something more robust for malware analysis consider other tools like Malcore™ aka Malcore.io™ or just use a cli/native tool. Shoutout to Battle Programmer Yuu for inspiring me to use Unifont that I stole from tmp.0ut (it looks so good!) The code is all generated by Claude in Cursor and hosted on Github Pages. I don't really do any binary analysis, so if you have suggestions for improvements, let me know. (this is technically 'early access' and i haven't tested it too much)

Officially not skill issued in neovim anymore. I built the most memory-efficient file picker UI available in Neovim, and it's the first one to actually use async I/O for file previews. We allocate 3x less memory than the pure lua pickers while mainting custom binary and file index in memory.

Connecting RE2 REmake to RE1 REmake via OG RE2 file modding. RE2R is way too standalone at times and it’s unfortunate. The number 2 in the title is there for a reason. It’s a sequel. This was a fun test. I’ll be messing around with it more in the near future.
