Another example from the 90s. As cost rose, many techniques were created to save cels. A lot of them were very creative. Using photos gave anime a distinct fingerprint. Something doesn't always need to be animated to look good. I'd like to see this done in modern productions.

Gainax loved doing this back in the day. Photography feels like just long gone, these endings and scenes feel incredibly nostalgic, they captured a moment that cannot be recreated. A remnant of simpler times.

Anime from the 2000s is so crazy. The computers were JUST strong enough to render things, so everything looks like a PS2 game. A lot of people laugh at this art style, but low def 3D that looks like this is the coolest thing ever. It gives the animation a very distinct look.

If you look at the cost of solar power five years ago, 10 years ago, or 20 years ago, it would have seemed cost-prohibitive. But the cost of solar power today is extremely low. The cost of batteries to store that energy has also dropped dramatically. Battery storage costs have fallen by a factor of 10 in the past five years. So many of the studies that were done were done in times past, when batteries were very expensive and solar power was very expensive.
