My most favourite song of Kishore Kumar. It was for the first time I was exposed to a Kishore Kumar song and from then on it was only and only Kishore Kumar for me. The God of singing. His singing goes straight to the soul. Door ka Raahi 1971 Kishore besides acting also directed the movie and composed music for the movie. This track serves as a massive milestone for Sulakshana Pandit. Before becoming a famous actress-singer, she used to sing in Kishore Kumar's live stage shows. He gave her a major break by choosing her to sing this duet alongside him. Kishore playbacks for his elder brother Dadamoni. The icing on the cake is my one and only favourite Tanuja. Kishore Kumar, Tanuja .. what else do I need ... the picture is complete. ❤️

Kishore Kumar received all the nominations in the Best Male Playback Singer category at the 1985 Filmfare Awards. And won for this song from Sharabi. A rare Filmfare awards record. Bappi Lahiri won the best music director award for this film Kishore had a special voice for Amitabh, so much so that it sounds as if Amitabh is singing the song . A very different kind of music by LP. Almost RD Burmanish. This was the only film directed by Shakti Samanta and starring Rajesh Khanna that did not have music by a Burman. Lyrics has to be AB. The movie had some excellent songs. But unfortunately did not do well. Simple was a misfit from the word Go. The tune of this song's mukhda may have been inspired by the song "Do Naina Matware Tihaare" ("Meri Bahen", 1944), composed by Pankaj Mullick and sung by K.L. Saigal. Song courtsey Upjeet 🇮🇳

Aajkal Shauq-e-Deedar Hai… is so much fun. Dilip Kumar’s presence and effervescence just light up the screen. He and Vyjayanthimala were a great pair. Takes you back to a time when the telephone was the conduit of love and romance was different. Rafi is simply outstanding. Naushad’s music is, as always, sublime. Leader had such a lovely soundtrack. Anybody remember any other favourites from the film?

It was 1971. In Mumbai,then still called Bombay,on Pedder Road, there lived a man in a beautiful, neatly arranged, well kept flat. Early one morning, Kishore Kumar himself arrived there summoned by the master of the house. He had composed a song for the film 𝘈𝘯𝘯𝘢𝘥𝘢𝘵𝘢 and wished to present it. With a solemn face, Kishore da settled on the sofa beside the composer. He always listened to melodies with deep, unwavering attention. Sitting on the sofa, harmonium before him, the composer began to sing: "Guzar gaye din din din / Ki har pal gin gin gin / Kisiki hai yaadon mein…" But the moment he sang the last line, Kishore da suddenly slid off the sofa and sat down on the floor with a thud. "What happened? What happened?" cried the anxious host. Kishore da was still on the floor, head bowed. Then he looked up, folded his hands, and said, "Forgive me, Dada. I can't learn this song while sitting at the same height as you. What a composition!" For the rest of the session, Kishore Kumar learned the entire song sitting on the floor. After his passing, Naushad sahab would say, "From our seven notes, one is no more." Did you recognize this legend? He was Salil Chowdhury. A humble tribute on his birth anniversary today. 🙏

This is a rare Beta build of SH2, and it has differences to the final version! James looks more tired, he has a different animation when he runs out of breath, the inventory is different, some melee animations are different, metallic sounds sometimes play and make the controller vibrate as though Pyramid Head is nearby, and there's some unused soundtrack. Also Mary's letter and photo aren't in the inventory and Maria doesn't appear at all. Wait until the end for James vibing to an unreleased track! The track plays immediately when starting the demo and I thought that's very disturbing... #silenthill #silenthill2

This is a really cool side by side video of the two versions of this ride. When you look at it like this, Bayou Adventure isn’t as bad compared to Splash as many people make it out to be. The issue is that this is the Disneyland version which doesn’t have as much dead space because it’s a little shorter than the one at WDW. If they could flesh out Floridas a little more, it would be even better.
