Another implicitly anti-Hamas protest in southern Gaza called for peace, a ceasefire & the release of hostages. I've said this repeatedly: polls are inaccurate; displaced/hungry/battered & frustrated Gazans are against Hamas but fear retribution & repression. This is significant.

These protests are important not because they'll immediately topple Hamas or influence the group's actions but because they normalize criticism of the group's role in the unfolding disaster civilians face. They break the wall of fear & the taboo of condemning Hamas during war.

Hamas is losing control on Gaza. They would never allow these demonstrations a month ago They are hiding in tunnels.

I don't believe. Again, pro-Palestinian propaganda. Moreover, it is not only Hamas, there are many other terrorist factions operating in Gaza, as well as in the West Bank. Practically every guy in Gaza belongs to one.

Of course ..I have now spoken to many gazans who they and familes and people they know are against Hamas and have been for baby years
