Another language controversy inside SBI. This time, Uddhav Sena workers assaulted an employee for allegedly insulting the Marathi language in Dhule. This cycle of violence won’t stop unless all those in central banks unite, protest and demand protection and accountability from the govt. Neither the state nor the centre... show more

If someone truly made an insulting remark about the Marathi language, the right thing to do is file a police complaint and let the law take its course. Violence, intimidation, and public shaming are not the answer — especially when there’s no proof and only one-sided claims. Targeting bank employees without proper investigation not only puts innocent people at risk but also creates an unsafe work environment for everyone. We must ensure that politics doesn’t override justice and dignity in such matters. Let truth, not anger, lead the way.

Bank employees especially officers are transferred every 3 to 4 years. They can't possibly learn every state language that they are transferred to. Banks have local staff at the front desks that know the local language. People get the required services from these front staff. This act by MNS is just politics.

This incident reeks of political opportunism masquerading as linguistic pride. Let’s be clear: assaulting a bank employee based on an unverified allegation isn’t justice — it’s mob rule.

India’s refusal to declare a national language fuels endless regional ego battles. The 3-language system is sabotaged by states driven more by pride than unity. Language-based clashes are a shame. Constitution’s silence on a national language lets petty politics divide Bharat. Time for a strong, clear linguistic policy.

The street goons who wants to be politicians purposely do it so they can show their uneducated followers that they are also someone who can hackle, slap & abuse a govt employee!! These street goons are always from some political party which is finding a political ground and resort to language war as their political ground!! Yes state govt & Central govt won’t interfere & help govt employees, street vendors & shopkeepers who are on target of these street goons! They won’t ever enter in areas like Mumbra, Mumbai for their language love!!

They could have been arguing but slapping a government employee that too publicly for not speaking Marathi is really pathetic. Just because someone is associated with a political party suddenly starts thinking they are above law or they are the law. An FIR must be lodged against such goons and they should be taught a lesson by sending them to a Hindi speaking state and forced to do a community service for a year.

What blasphemy is to Pakistan, language outrage is to India now:- a toolkit for mob rule and vote-bank politics. :)

Udhav and his goons are infected by the language parasite of the Mughals. @Dev_Fadnavis Requesting the chief minister to consider this? Also, these goons don't belong to Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Ji Bharat Desh.
