another light trick for csp! use the divide blend mode with the complementary color of ur glow color (ie blue for yellow vice versa) divide preserves the relationship between your values when adding the glow effect, so you get a clean look

i can make this more detailed if you'd like but this is a trick i found on xiaohongshu

these are awesome

omg, thank u :) credit goes to the xhs artists who shared this wisdom tho ^^

do you have a trick on how to make sure the character palette matches the background's lighting? (day, night, etc)

tbh, there's no *trick*, but theres ways to make it easier to approach!

oh neat! I'd love to know, because I feel like I'm missing something!

Can this work on IbisPaintX too? (I don’t know if csp is the program you’re using in the video or an abbreviation for an art term🫣)

CSP is the software ! if ibispaint has the divide blend more you can give it a try, it shouldnt function differently i think

Awesome! I shall give it a try, thank you for explaining that to me!💙

Oooh super interesting. I will definitely try it out

good luck~ hope it makes your art POP!!

Thnk you! Cant wait to test it out

Thank you for sharing!!

THIS IS A LIFE SAVER HELLO

Can I praise you as a god now? I've been using a mixture of dodge/shine for years, struggling to get the perfect crisp glow I want AND THIS IS AS SIMPLE AS ONE LAYER TYPE AND BOOM!??? THAT'S IT??? PEAK GLOW????? ok then sure why not yeah of course

all praise goes to CN overlords tbh, i recently found out abt this and its been lifechanging
