Traffic Police in Hoima are hunting for the driver & conductor of a Link Bus, UBK 989Z, after they were found carrying passengers in excess. The bus traveling from Kasese to Bweyale when a concerned passenger shared the incident on social platforms, alerting police authorities to the dangerous behavior. Acting on the tip, we tracked the bus & intercepted it at Buswekere along the Hoima–Fort Portal road. However, the driver & conductor abandoned the bus & fled. We commend the action taken by the passenger who raised the alarm. We urge all passengers to remain vigilant & responsible, especially in such a period. Protecting lives on our roads is a collective responsibility

A bus owned by YY Coaches Company driving from Kampala toward Gulu collided with a stationary trailer. KSRTC Bus overturns at Kaggalipura turn:1 killed, 7 injured in a shocking road mishap In a tragic road accident that occurred near the Kaggalipura turn on the outskirts of Bengaluru, a KSRTC bus lost control and overturned, resulting in the death of one person and serious injuries to at least seven others. The accident took place under the jurisdiction of the Kaggalipura Police Station on Sunday evening.According to eyewitness reports and CCTV footage, the bus was reportedly speeding when it collided with two motorcycles at the curve. The collision caused the driver to lose control, after which the bus veered off the road and tumbled into a ditch. The deceased has been identified as Nagraj, a sub-inspector from Electronic City Police Station, who was on one of the motorcycles involved in the crash. He died on the spot due to the impact. The other motorcyclist sustained injuries but is currently stable. Seven passengers onboard the KSRTC bus also sustained injuries, ranging from minor to serious. They were promptly shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. Fortunately, no fatalities occurred among the passengers. Initial police investigations suggest that overspeeding and loss of control at a sharp turn were the primary causes of the accident. Kaggalipura Police have registered a case and are investigating further. Authorities are also checking if there were any mechanical issues with the vehicle. The incident has sparked renewed concerns over road safety, especially on sharp turns and poorly monitored routes around Bengaluru. These videos are from today morning. The Gunneruvaram, Illanthakunta route in Karimnagar. More than 100/120 people were seen travelling in the Palle Velugu bus. Also in the video - Jagityal to Dharmapuri bus. The tyre of the this route’s Palle Velugu bus came off midway due to overcrowding!!! Almost 100 plus passengers were on this bus! This Tuktuk was stopped by NTSA and traffic police officers while carrying eight passengers instead of the recommended four on the Kisumu-Nairobi Road. Needless to say it was dangerously overloaded. I hope the cyclist, who fled the scene, will be made to face justice for his reckless behaviour. To all passengers, please don't encourage this kind of unsafe road behaviour by keeping quiet. Protest when you see a bus driver or a Tuktuk cyclist starting to overload. Let's stop risking lives on our roads. Remember that road safety is everyone's responsibility.

A private bus operating on the Thrissur–Kozhikode route reportedly killed two Tamil Nadu natives who were crossing the road in Edappal town today. This is especially alarming because two major accidents have already occurred on this route in the past 10 days...one at Kuttippuram and another at Kunnamkulam. Yet the buses seem to be least concerned about speeding and reckless driving. The accident today happened in one of the busiest parts of Edappal town. No bus or any other vehicle should be speeding through such a crowded area. Bus-related accidents are becoming increasingly frequent. Urgent measures are needed before we lose many more innocent lives. @CMOKerala

Two students from the same family were seriously injured after falling from a KSRTC bus near the MRPL petrol pump on Reshme Road in Kaliya village. The incident occurred while they were traveling from Gerukatte to their school in Belthangady. As the bus approached Reshme Road, the door suddenly opened, causing both students to lose balance and fall onto the road. They were immediately rushed to hospitals in Belthangady and Ujire for treatment. One of the students was on her way to appear for the SSLC exam, while the other is a second-year PUC student.
