In 2010 This evil woman put her neighbors cat Lola in a trash bin . The pet owner Darryl was frantic as Lola was missing for about 15 hours . He finally heard her crying from the bin ..Luckily as with most things it was captured on video . It shows her casually grabbing the cat and putting it in the trash. Lola’s dad put the video online hoping to identify who did it . Sure enough Mary Bale was identified . When questioned on it she replied “ it’s just a cat” which understandably REALLY upset people . Because of the public out cry, she was forced to pay Lola’s owner Darryl the equivalent US $2000 and resign from her job at a bank. So my question is, do you think that was too harsh of an outcome for ol Mary ? Or was it fitting ?

It is alleged that he orchestrated this horrific act by hiring another individual to carry out the attack. He is currently being held at Kibera Police Station. I strongly condemn this cowardly, inhumane act. An attack on Mary is an attack on our collective humanity. We must stand united: violence against women will not be tolerated. Fantastic first day yesterday at the Houston Methodist Cardiovascular Fellowships bootcamp as the Faculty. Superb organization of program different station covering basics of all #CV topics - impressed with the detailed teaching training at station for one day of hands-on simulation lab training! I had a blast teaching fellows basic #Echofirst TTE and TEE views at the #Echostation. 50 plus fellows from the US and even outside. Day two focused on expert-led lectures on the fundamentals of cardiovascular disease and management. Congratulations Nadeen N. Faza, M.D. et al on successful organization and running the show for #Cardiology track. 1st and 2nd year #CV fellows check it out- I know we are definitely sending our fellows here next year -

Yemi Mary received the annual Award, supported by Royal Bank of Canada, after an outstanding year which saw her claim gold in the 400m at the European Athletics U23 Championships and two senior relay medals at the World Athletics Championships. Yemi Mary, who also featured in the top 10 last year having won gold at the World Athletics U20s Championships in 2022, was presented with the Award by 400 metres legend Christine Ohuruogu MBE at Lee Valley Athletics Centre on Monday (18 December). She edged out para cyclist Archie Atkinson, 19, and BMX rider Freia Challis, 15, as they finished in second and third positions respectively. “It's a really good feeling and it's great to have had this season's achievements recognised!” said Yemi Mary shortly after being presented with the Award. “They caught me off-guard with my Award which was a lovely surprise. Christine has done amazing things, not only in the sport as a whole but in the 400 specifically, so just to have her recognise me and be able to be in a room with such great and successful people is exciting. I appreciated her being there for it. “I feel like it sets me up for a great trajectory of success and hopefully I will follow in the footsteps of those before [who have won the One-to-Watch Award]. I feel like I'm already on the radar especially because of my first senior season, not only just competing but coming away with medals. Once upon a time, parents would have to either ban unsupervised tablet use or paid monthly for a solution. But thanks to OpenClaw, now Jesse was able to easily build out her own solution. It’s another example of how OpenClaw empowers everyday people to start coding their own software… and why it’s so important to keep the tech free and open source even after its creator moves over to OpenAI.

You just spent 8 years in school, hundreds of thousands in student loans, and your first check as a doctor can run anywhere from $55,000 to $70,000 a year before taxes. But here is what the doubters are missing - that check does not stay there. Give it 5 to 10 years and that same doctor is pulling $300,000 to $500,000 or more depending on their specialty. In today’s Feast of the Holy Family, we read of Jesus, Mary and Joseph fleeing the murderous designs of an evil king and journeying to Egypt, a traditional refugee for Jewish people of the time, as Joan Taylor points out in her new book “Boy Jesus.” So it’s not surprising that in 1952, Pope Pius XII wrote this: “The émigré Holy Family of Nazareth, fleeing into Egypt, is the archetype of every refugee family. Jesus, Mary and Joseph, living in exile in Egypt to escape the fury of an evil king, are, for all times and all places, the models and protectors of every migrant, alien and refugee of whatever kind who, whether compelled by fear of persecution or by want, is forced to leave his native land, his beloved parents and relatives, his close friends, and to seek a foreign soil.” The theme of the Holy Family as refugees and migrants was also taken up by St. John Paul II, Pope Benedict XVI and Pope Francis. In fact, the Holy Family more than satisfies the classic definition of a refugee as someone fleeing a “well-founded fear of persecution.” Today some people say, “They weren’t really refugees since they were still traveling within the Roman Empire.” But anyone who thinks that a poor family from Galilee would think of Egypt, hundreds of miles away, with an entirely different language and culture, as their homeland, is fooling themselves. Besides, as the New Testament scholar Daniel Harrington points out in the Sacra Pagina commentary on this passage, Egypt was clearly outside the jurisdiction of King Herod, that is, a different land. And the Greek word that Matthew’s Gospel uses is a key: it’s “pheuge,” to flee, one of the ancient roots of the word “refugee.” When we think of refugees, migrants and internally displaced peoples today, we are invited to remember the Holy Family, the “archetype,” as Pope Pius XII said, of “every refugee family.” And we should treat them accordingly.

Your baby learns to speak - not just from listening - but from watching. 👀 I’ve written many times about the keen observational powers of babies. Infants are expert observers of their parents’ faces, which (among other lessons) provide important clues as to how mom and dad manage to make those wonderful sounds that come out of their mouths. But I’ve rarely seen this point better illustrated than in this fantastic video shared to TT by goldenlvngz. Watch carefully and you’ll note that our hero’s eyes remain laser focused on Mom’s mouth. It’s not as simple as hearing the word “mama” and replicating it quite yet. First there’s the question of just how exactly one uses their mouth to make the “ma” sound. Watch as baby makes multiple, silent attempts to mimic the movement of mom’s mouth, before attempting to voice the word himself. The first couple tries produce a visually similar sound: “ba.” But after several more attempts and a little more modeling from Mom, the sound rings out at last: “Ma.” One of the most interesting videos I think I’ve ever shared. A fascinating window on his language learning.

Rivian is releasing this super cool Halloween update where you can “dress up” your Rivian in one of three themes. Another showcase of their vertical integration of software / hardware / fun engineers! The “Trunk or Treat” option is perfect for leaving your Rivian in the driveway to create a spooky aura during the trick-or-treat hours 😱. There are a few different freaky music choices but the best part is you can select from a bunch of different scary sounds from a sound board on your mobile app to freak people out as they approach your truck. This comes on top of the other fantastic improvements found in the software package 2024.39 - which include a gauge cluster refresh, third zone climate control (rear can now be set to a different temp), and more! I’ve been lucky enough to play around with these updates for a bit BUT you really should go check out Jose | RivianTrackr for the full detailed information on the Halloween surprises. For those who don’t believe what I stated earlier, here it is in James’ own words. I encourage you to watch and listen… Here is my brief response: To be clear, it is not mainline Judaism or Christianity, as Jimmy argues, to believe that life begins when a baby takes its first breath. For starters, look at Jeremiah 1:5, Psalm 139, the story of Elizabeth and John the Baptist in the New Testament and, of course, Mary’s pregnancy and the birth of Jesus, among many other examples. Further, contrary to what JT alleges, nowhere in scripture and at no time does God ask for Mary’s consent to carry the Messiah. Mary didnt have a vision from God, as James stated. No, she was visited by the Angel Gabriel, sent from God himself, who told Mary what the plan for her was — that she would be God’s chosen woman to be the fulfillment of prophecy and the mother of the Savior of the world. And though it didn’t make any worldly sense in the moment, Mary immediately accepted her role and righteously viewed God’s appointment and call on her life as a miracle and a blessing. You can read her words verbatim in Luke 1:46-55. Sadly, James doesn’t know what he believes. And to the millions who follow and listen to him, he clearly disregards the clear truth of scripture in order to manipulate God’s word for political purposes. It’s dark and sad and very dangerous… which is why Jesus had very strong words for people like James who bastardize and blaspheme our Holy God and his perfect word. Bottom line - James is treading on dangerous and treacherous ground… and I believe Christians should speak out and call him out accordingly. As for me, I can’t remain silent on it. And I won’t. While I believe James is terrible for Texas and expect voters to resoundingly reject him, I likewise pray that the truth of God’s word and the love and grace Jesus displayed for James on the cross will at some point, hopefully soon, supernaturally save James and change his life — just as it saved me and still changes my life to this day.
