"My feeling is this. I'm not pro-immigration. I'm not anti-immigration. What I want is for people who are not corrupt, who are well-informed about the issue, to figure out what the best level of immigration is and to set up a process that works. I don't want to see any illegals. I want to see people who come in legally. I want to see the number. Maybe it's a high number. Maybe it's a low number. I don't know, but I'd like to see the right number. I'd like us to at least aspire to it. And then most important of all, and I see this in both England and the US, somewhere along the line, we apparently decided it was impolite to ask people who wished to come to our countries, whether they liked us and aspired to be a part of our civilization. And my feeling is whatever the number is that we should be allowing in, I don't want any who don't aspire to be American. Anthropic shows this video to every new employee. Someone re-uploaded it. I hope Anthropic doesn't see this. 14 minutes of how the Claude team actually uses Claude in real work. I watched the recording last night and kept pausing it. Each time realizing I've been using Claude like a toy. claude.md + loops is what makes Claude stop fighting you and start working for you. Most people will keep using Claude the hard way.

Holy moly Never seen someone being that bullish for AI developement as Dario Amodei: - There's just an exponential just like we had an exponential with Moore's law - I think the models are just going to get more and more capable at everything - I've had internal people at Anthropic say, "I don't write any code anymore. I don't write I don't open up an editor and write code. I just let Claude code write the first draft and and all I do is edit it. - What what we're going to see in the future is just like we've going to be seen in the past except more so - the models are just going to get more and more intellectually capable and you know the the revenue is going to keep adding zeros. holy moly, Dario!

You can just tell Claude Code to learn skills and it will. I asked Claude to create an app that uses tldraw and it one shotted it with sqlite db, and then I asked Claude Code to create a skill so that it could read and write on the canvas. 10 minutes later it could do it. Weirrrrdddd times.

For months, I've been quietly building a prototype of something just because I want it to exist. Papyrus is a word processor, editor, proofreader, fact-checker, deep researcher, brainstorming partner, all in one. It takes your rough draft and helps you skip three revisions. Now I'm considering pivoting my whole team to build it out, but first, I need your vote. You email is your vote. LINK IN COMMENTS. I don't even care if you use some email you never look at and just use for sign ups. To me one email is one vote and says, go ahead and build this damn thing out and make it awesome. I built it because today's apps are the bloated dial-ups of writing (Word, GDocs). They've got a hundred freaking buttons I don't need and bury the ones I do need. Or they're AI marketing slop toys that promise to read my mind and pump out garbage. They just don't get the real work of writing and they don't get me. I want a clean, focused space with a real AI co-pilot. I don't need it to do the all the writing for me, just like I don't need Claude Code to do all the code for me. I want to work with it. I want a writing partner that acts like a full writing team on-call 24X7: proofreading, fact-checking, and running deep research in the background while I focus on the hard parts. I'm tired of cutting and pasting between a dozen tools so I started writing this thing. But won't the big guys just build something like this? Sure. But it will just bolt your ass into their ecosystem. Google Docs will force Gemini on you. Whatever office suite OpenAI pumps out will only use GPT. I want to use any model. Open or closed. They're commodities. The app is the thing. I want the best tool for the job, GPT-5, Kimi, Qwen, Claude, whatever comes tomorrow. I want a fluid, flexible workspace. I'm building this thing for people who've got critical thinking and who build, who don't want to outsource every damn thing to the machine. So if that's you and you believe this should exist, I really need your vote. Tell me to build it and I'll go all-in and make it a reality. Thanks for giving me a moment of your time.

I think sometimes, maybe you and I can miss what the real momentum is, that we don't really gauge it because we either intellectually dismiss it or we just don't care, but people wanted to hear what I had to say about her, which baffled me.
