I've just discovered that my maternal great grandfather was a Polish Jew. My family had a feeling he was. Now we are certain from research we've been doing. As a Christian I've always been supportive of Israel and the Jewish community. I understand now why. It's in my DNA.

Today, at least 425 people were arrested at a protest in support of Palestine Action, a proscribed terrorist organisation. According to the Metropolitan Police, frontline officers were subjected to high levels of abuse, which included “punches, kicks, spitting and objects being thrown, in addition to verbal abuse.” Tomorrow’s demonstration — Britain’s March Against Antisemitism — will be a peaceful protest in opposition to antisemitism and extremism in Britain. This unpleasant footage – showing a man appearing to say “Heil Hitler” and perform a Hitler salute – was taken on Saturday at a “Free Palestine” protest. When the person behind the camera challenges him, other people in the crowd are heard saying, “Everybody’s got their own beliefs.” The man then behaves aggressively towards the cameraperson. Appearing to express adulation for the man responsible for the industrial slaughter of six million Jews is not a reasonable belief like any other. It is antisemitism. The incident has been reported to Metropolitan Police. Not just this gesture but the reaction of the crowd underscores the rising extremism in Britain right now.
