Floating bus stops are bad for pedestrians- pedestrians don’t get a choice about it. That cyclist ahead of you put themselves at risk, undertaking the bus. Why expect bus passengers to lower their own safety, when cyclists have no interest in their own and pull stunts like this?

You mean the bus clearly indicating from the moment it came into view to the cyclist rushing up the inside of the bus, not giving way?

Indication does not give priority, going for an overtake you cannot complete is pretty poor driving, wouldn’t you say?

It’s takes one cyclist to think they’re king of the road and that laws don’t apply to them for a pedestrian to get hurt. And until cyclists are made responsible for their actions, that’s what’s going to happen. Pedestrians should come first.

The pause on floating bus stops by Lord Peter Hendy Simon Lightwood MP is for shared use bus borders as shown in the video, where passengers board & alight the bus directly from & into the cycle lane. This pause needs to be made permanent, along with all types of floating bus stops.

The loss of amenity for blind & visually impaired people to use the bus independently in Londons active travel schemes is discrimination. The use of floating bus stops & shared use bus boarders has to stop. Access to & from the bus has to be direct from the pavement please.

Routing cycle lanes through the pavement at bus stops has to stop. Floating bus stops are not safe or accessible for blind people. Access has to be from the kerbside, direct from the pavement without having to cross a cycle lane first. This is at Elephant & Castle in London.

Went back to Park Lane floating bus stops in London. They are still not working. Riders are not stopping at the zebra crossings, bus shelters are separate from the bus stops & the island platform is too narrow for people waiting for & getting off bus. They are not fit for purpose
