I think he meant in the middle of the lane, you should be over to the left hand side of the lane, not down the middle of it. If it was a cycle lane then that's fine ride down the middle, but not on a stretch of road that is not marked as a cycle lane.

I've been a cyclist for 50years. Cyclists like you give us a bad name. You should be on the inside of your lane if it is safe to do so. One day you will be knocked off and seriously hurt - you'll only have yourself to blame.

Do you not realise you do more harm than good by pushing a divide between cyclists and motorists. Everyone on the road need to look out for each others safety. You whip up bad feeling and division. You’re not helping cyclists!
