Anyone else having issues with bees in their yard? This video is from Rex in Genesee County, Michigan.

This in no way shape or form is a “issue“. Honeybees are harmless and an absolute necessity to maintain our food sources. This person needs to just walk away and let nature be. No pun intended.

Honeybees. These are very healthy to see, and harmless. I get a ton in my mind yard - flowers.

Bees are disappearing just leave them alone. When I took out a bees nest, I got marauded by Japanese beetles. Bees will protect you from Japanese Beatles—that eat all of your flower petals.

They’re just thirsty is all — and them being in your back yard is not a problem. They are dying off in large numbers due to overuse of herbicides and pesticides. Rex should be grateful that the bees feel safe in his backyard.

I would not call it an issue. I call it a blessing, at least with the honey bees. I have an extremely high-yield garden, and my little garden produces a much larger yield than all the very large gardens near me, using absolutely no fertilizer. Why? I plant various types of flowers in my garden to attract the bees. The honey bee is a blessing, a very good thing to have around. 🐝

Very dry out there. I'm thinking about starting a hobby apiary. A fair amount of resource provided at U of M and probably State. A terracotta drip pan with the bellow configuration can help them and your garden.

We don't consider them an issue. We put some pretty rocks in our bird bath so they don't drown. Bees are in serious trouble and need all the help they can get. They don't bother us and we do all we can to help them.

When it got warm last winter/early spring the neighbors hives became active and looking for a food source. My bird feeding stations with cracked corn were very popular. Mixed up a sugar water solution for them also Now they visit bird bath/fountain. Love it.

What the issue? They just need a water source. Those are honey bees so there is likely a hive within a mile or two. Completely harmless if you leave them alone. Chlorine does attract bees as well fyi

Happens every year. When the queen leaves to migrate. The entire nest follows. Unfortunately the workers out collecting come back to an empty nest. They’re now looking for a safe place to hunker down for the winter.

I’ve got a fat honey bee nest in the garage behind sheets of plywood. All day long workers buzzing in and out, we live a cohesive life. Waiting until late October/November to check it out.

Bees go to water. I don't know if they drink it or cool themselves but gardeners n birders put out dishes of water with rocks in the water just for the bees. I have one by my bird feeder lol.
