@peteratcmc I actually disagree - my view is that you can be multicultural BUT you must have shared VALUES. There is nothing wrong with celebrating your culture as long as the values behind it don’t conflict with the values of British society.

A country cannot run on parallel societies with incompatible values and then pretend the friction is just “diversity.” It needs a shared culture, or you stop having a country. “Just coexist harder” wasn’t much of a national strategy.
