Anything you can do in Obsidian you can do from the command line. Obsidian CLI is now available in 1.12 (early access).

This is awesome! Have to say “Obsidian CLI requires the Obsidian app to be running” is still a bit of a downer. Still very useful, don’t get me wrong. But this would be 200% better if it would work headless as well. Is this in the cards, @kepano? 🙏

Hell yeah, love to see it. Is there a way to edit layouts on the fly? I see ways to save, load, and delete workspaces, but not to edit them on the fly. If it’s not currently available that’s my main request, this is all fantastic otherwise!

This is huge! Obsidian CLI finally makes your entire knowledge base scriptable. As a sysops guy, I’m already thinking about CI/CD pipelines that auto-update runbooks, incident reports, or architecture decision records straight from deployment logs. Any plans for fully headless mode (no app running) in the future? That would be a game-changer for agents. @obsdmd

woah, this is extended mind thesis, accelerating. If your agent can quickly and CHEAPLY store and traverse your extended mind graph, then making and storing context becomes trivial. this is the early innings of hive minds
