Very very important This is extremely shocking and the people of India deserve to know this. Last evening, Hon'ble Vice President of India and Rajya Sabha Chairman Sh Jagdeep Dhankar said in the House that "since the last 25 years, I have been an 'Eklavya' of the RSS". He then went on to shower praise on the RSS and said that his only "regret" was that he didn't join the RSS earlier. It was an open admission by the Hon'ble VP & Chair that he's a proud member of the RSS. Hon'ble VP & Chairman has the right to be a member of any organization that he pleases. However, 2 days ago, he expunged & removed parts of the speech of Leader of Opposition Kharge ji where he'd criticized the RSS. It is well-documented fact that the RSS is an organization that has been banned in the past for subversive activities. It is a communal organization and also, for the longest time, refused to accept the Constitution of India. Is it fair for the VP of India to be openly praising the RSS while sitting in a chair where he's expected to be neutral? While watching #Haq movie, I realised that the Shah Bano case was truly the turning point in Indian history. In 1986, Rajiv Gandhi, on the advice of Arun Nehru, gave a green signal to open the locks of the Babri Masjid, an attempt to appease Hindus after his controversial decision (to make mullahs happy) on the Shah Bano judgment. Soon after, Rajiv Gandhi regretted the move and wanted to reverse it, but it was too late. BJP-RSS-VHP had already ignited the Ram Mandir movement. And the rest, is history.

In a lecture being organized by Punjab University, speakers associated with the RSS have been invited in a conspiratorial manner to speak about the history of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji and the Panj Pyare. The question is: Is there a shortage of historians in Punjab who can speak about Sikh history? Such actions raise doubts that Sikh history is being presented according to a particular ideology to mislead our younger generation. We strongly condemn this. What is even more unfortunate is that the aware students who were protesting against this were subjected to a baton charge by the university administration and the police, cases were registered against them, and reports of disrespect towards the Sikh articles of faith (the Kakars) have also emerged.
