Your 4 co leads were big enough to star in a movie by themselves and people would go see those movies. We had it so good.

"It's been a pleasure flying with you gentlemen."

You missed an Apex Mountain for Houston - Terms of Endearment: "Houston's the best!" (And btw, can you PULEEEZE do Terms of Endearment?)

Cmon @BillSimmons missed a huge APEX Mountain for this pod! You have the late great James Horner averaging a triple-double getting nominated twice that year and taking home the Oscar for Braveheart and then two years later throwing a perfect game with Titanic! 👌🏻

Love Apollo 13 & glad you guys liked it. It came out the same year that 2 of my other top 5 movies had (non-sequel) numbers. Se7en & 12 Monkeys along with thos movie. The Martian & Project Hail Mary have the same The Right Stuff that this classic celebrates.

In your discussion of how iconic “Houston, we have a problem” is - I wanted you to mention it was the tagline of Wrestlemania 17! My childhood peaked there

Amen and amen

The pod’s what’s aged the worst: @craighorlbeck ‘s “Houston was a problem” deserved one or two more chuckles. 😭

Ebert has Hanks > Cruise

most gif'able moment I *think* this is what @RobMahoney @akdobbins and @BillSimmons were referring to

What’s aged the worst? The priest rubbing the young Lovell boy’s head during the reentry.

Amanda, I know you’re sheltered in your safe bubble from this whole Space X thing but they don’t have heat shield issues.

Haven't listened to the pod yet, but came here to say Ed Harris is a legend.

Amanda finally got her Rewatchable!

I’m a little late to the party on this one but the answer to that “That Guy” award is Xander Berkeley. Dude was even in the “That Guy” documentary. Look him up, he’s been in everything

The answer to memorabilia is the Omega Speedmaster watch hanks is wearing. A detail and over looked item. The first watch on the moon

When you were discussing alternate titles I was screaming at the car stereo “The Odyssey!” (Call sign for the command module)

This is the movie that changed movies for me

I've never been as mad at a pod as I was during this one. the launch sequence is THE most rewatchable scene in movie history. go YouTube it now. masterclass in drawing out tension. it's awesome

Glad to see Amanda got the call. If she had been left off the Apollo 13 Rewatchables, the streets would have rioted.

You missed the most obvious double bill - The Right Stuff. Inspirational space and courage films and Ed Harris in both.

It's perfectly Ringer that the biggest complaint was NASA wasn't crammed with Africans for some reason.
