Just watched the NBA LIVE on Apple Vision Pro in 180° Immersive Video tonight, let’s talk: • The image quality is insane. Easily the best live sports experience I’ve seen in 3D 180 (Apple Immersive Video). • No commercials. Thank you, Spectrum. • 5–7 camera angles, including stanchion cams, high-and-wide, scoreboard, and a moving halftime camera. • Dedicated Vision Pro commentators: it genuinely feels designed for this platform, not adapted from TV. • Instant replays help eliminate dead moments during live play. • You can switch between Spatial Video and full immersive 180 viewing. • Live subtitles and live graphics rendered stereoscopically in 3D. • Visual consistency looks the same on both M2 and M5 Vision Pro. • No commercials… yes, still worth repeating. • This is the best live 3D sports presentation I’ve personally experienced. With the recent launch of the Free Lanes update for Starfield, we got immersive interplanetary travel. Now, a new mod/creation brings more immersive intersystem travel. In a similar vein to Cruise Mode, “Grav Lanes” lets you move freely around your ship mid–grav jump. You can do everything you normally would onboard and actually experience the journey, complete with a light show outside your windows. Check out the video to see it in action. Recorded memories are in pretty good quality, real size and 6DoF, meaning you can walk around it, get closer. And it’s clear that this is still far from being perfect, but I can feel the presence. Today’s Vision Pro app has ruined animated movies for me—because this experience was simply miles better. I’m talking about "Oto’s Planet" by "Astrea", an animated story that is immersive while not being immersive. The story follows a man named Oto, who enjoys a great life on his own little planet with his pet Skippy—until one day, a cosmonaut crashes onto the planet, disrupting the peace. The two must then find a way to share the planet. The twist: The planet floats right in your room. If you’re feeling lazy, you can simply pinch and move the planet to follow the story. But if you’re feeling more active, you can physically move around the planet in your room and experience an incredibly fun way to “watch” a story unfold. And it doesn’t stop there—you can also interact with it and help Oto complete various tasks. The future of spatial storytelling has many faces, and this might just be my favorite one yet. This app reminded me of what 2D animations will always struggle with: their stories are locked into a flat 16:9 rectangle. Over the past two weeks, I’ve shared some beautiful and fun apps, but this one is, hands down, the most visually satisfying experience on the Vision Pro right now (next to that immersive Weeknd video, of course). “Loóna: Cozy Puzzle Games” by Loóna lets you puzzle with spatial dioramas. The pieces snap magnetically into place, auto-rotate, and beautifully animate when put in the right spot. It just feels and looks sooo good, making it the perfect way to unwind (especially after that Weeknd video). Naturally, this one earns my 5/5 Visions Rating. So much love for the details—give it a try! #VisionPro
