apple blocking vibecoding is wild but expected. they can't gatekeep compute forever. we'll just move to local sandboxes. app stores don't matter when agents build on the fly.

I remember when I got super excited to build my own app but then ran into all these restrictions. Ugh!

The distinction is real but the practical impact is overblown. Both vibe coded and vibe coding apps face the same App Store review. The real difference is intent - vibe coding implies AI as a coding partner. Either way, Apple's policy applies equally. Platform lock-in has always been true - not unique to vibe coding.

Apple can't win the AI race so they're banning the people who can.
