Apple is quietly letting you replace Siri's brain. iOS 27 and macOS Golden Gate have private hooks that let you swap out Siri’s AI backend for third-party models like Claude. The integration is insane. Claude can handle the heavy lifting that Siri can't do, but it still seamlessly hands... show more

el problema de Siri nunca fue la ejecución, era el razonamiento

me interesa mucho, aunque esperaría a que salga de forma oficial

the "quietly" part usually means undocumented, worth keeping in mind

undocumented today, deprecated in the next beta, we've all seen that movie

curious how stable private hooks are, Apple tends to close these

fair, though the ones they end up sanctioning usually started out exactly like this

I’d love to choose my own model and still have it handle reminders and everyday phone tasks. Hopefully this becomes something anyone can set up easily.

lo de devolverle las acciones del sistema a Siri es lo que lo hace realmente usable

exactly, reasoning and execution are different jobs and this splits them properly

That looks cool.

“Ultimate setup” assumes the guest cannot see the house. Claude does the heavy lift. Siri executes. Mail and Messages are still in the path. If you cannot see that path in Settings, you shipped a roommate, not a feature.

el reparto tiene sentido: uno razona y el otro ejecuta

@itsMonchiiJr a ver si acaba siendo oficial o se queda en algo que capan en la siguiente beta

This is absolutely georgeous, if this works it can be a really useful tool🙌🏾

appreciate it, that "if" is the fun part to find out

🔝🔝

the division of labour is smart, each one doing what it's good at

would love to see a demo before getting too excited about this one

Siri lleva años necesitando justo esto

si esto se confirma cambia por completo el día a día en iPhone

that "if" is the whole question, but if it lands there's no going back

the handoff back to Siri for system actions is the part that makes this actually usable

right, a smarter assistant that can't actually do anything on your phone is just a chat app

handing system actions back to Siri instead of trying to replace it entirely is exactly the right call here

if Apple sanctions it properly this is a huge deal

and that's the part nobody can predict, Apple moves on its own timeline
