Thank you @aproko_doctor for all you do for health promotion. First off, smoking is different from vaping. No one 'smokes' an e-cigarette. No combustion whatsoever takes place when using e-cigarettes, whereas smoking cigarettes involves combustion. Understanding the difference between smoking and vaping is important to comparing their relative risks. Vaping is not risk-free but is considered less harmful than cigarette smoking. Both involve the use of nicotine; while nicotine is addictive, it is not the primary cause of smoking-related diseases, nor is it carcinogenic. The carcinogens in cigarette smoke primarily come from tar, which contains thousands of harmful chemicals. Regarding acrolein and formaldehyde, as mentioned in your video, the levels of these chemicals generated by vaping are significantly lower compared to those from smoking. The report you mentioned about lung damage has been revisited with further investigation in the U.S. The issue of 'popcorn lung' has been predominantly linked to vaping bootleg THC products laced with vitamin E acetate, not to vaping nicotine or regulated nicotine products. The premise is that e-cigarettes are not without risk, but they are a less harmful option compared to cigarette smoking. The general consensus is that current smokers can improve their health by switching to e-cigarettes, reflecting a principle of 'relative risk'. Indeed, current evidence suggests e-cigarettes can be an effective aid for quitting smoking. I strongly advise against non-smokers or young people starting to vape. However, for those already smoking, switching to vaping is a better option. The best option for everyone is to quit smoking and vaping altogether. But in the real world, if people continue to smoke, encouraging them to switch to e-cigarettes is a more beneficial public health message. If you don’t smoke, don’t start. But adult smokers should have access to products that could improve their health.

Vaping oh, smoking oh, shisha oh, I can’t marry a man that does any of these

Thank you for this, doctor. All kinds of smoking are very harmful to the body. All kinds. No matter the baptism name given to them, it's still harmful to your health

This is an example of why we are working hard to correct widespread misunderstanding among physicians. I trust this post is well-intended, but as other respondents have explained, it is unfortunately poorly informed. I would be pleased to share further information on the subject.

Big Tobacco thanks you for helping to protect sales of their main cash cow: Cigarettes. Respect. But I'm pretty sure your expertise doesn't match that of these 15 past-Presidents of the world's top professional society in the field of tobacco control.

Please disclose who paid you spread this health disinformation. If it's @VitalStrat or @TheUnion_TBLH, or one of THEIR grantees, you are being paid by US billionaire, @MikeBloomberg. You are paid to lie to the public. Massive Conflict of Interest. @drkellyhenning

Why ask the question when you had no intention to answer it? By the way, your pants are on fire.
