gm gm. today is a special day as i have accomplished something i never thought i would be able to do. i started apes on canvas almost three years ago. i've done over a hundred oil on canvases, from projects such as The Ape Society, Pudgy Penguins, DeGods, among many others. but today, thanks to the painting comissioned by ESCO 🪏, i have done my first ever Yuga Labs MAYC. the paintings are oil on canvas and are framed in a baroque style frame, with about a tenth of an ounce of gold laid into the frames in the form of 24k gold leaf. this particular painting also included a first ever gold leaf applied directly to the canvas to highlight the gold coins dripping out of the ape's eyes. here is the final result, i hope you all like it:

For the first time we are fundamentally changing how humans can collaborate with ChatGPT since it launched two years ago. 📢 OneCanvas: 3D Scene Understanding via Panoramic Reprojection We extract features from video frames and reproject them into one occlusion-free view of the whole scene that a 2D VLM reads just like a normal image. We can center this view on any viewpoint, including an agent's own pose for situated reasoning. The same projection lets us create spatial training tasks with no human annotation, solvable only by reasoning over the 3D positions of real object features placed on an otherwise empty canvas. What if drop shadows actually look like real shadows? We are using Omma to explore a new kind of canvas that employs real-light approximations rather than simple 2D drop shadows. It runs on WebGPU and uses real-time path tracing to simulate more realistic shading. It also supports SVG shapes. The Z-index defines actual depth, too (objects with a lower z-index would be affected by shadows of other objects).
