Most AI slop consumer apps will be DEAD in 5 years. I think this is where the market is headed I was bored today so I texted Rork to make me a Snake game. 2 minutes later I'm playing snake on my phone. I also did this yesterday with a to-do list app. In a way Rork is like a super app That can make apps on your phone. And it's not hard for consumers To utilize, This game took 1 prompt. most simple apps that can be one shotted with 1 prompt are most likely done for once this hits the consumer market. Eventually all the slop apps will be filtered out. And the apps that will survive are the ones that have community, gamification and identity that can't be replicated So Start building Genuine banger apps.

Bitcoin Vegas 2025 - Day 2 After Events Fun day today - great after parties and networking. We went to the Whale Party and spent time with Joe Carlasare and Lawrence Lepard, "fix the money, fix the world" - just not at the same time. Larry has been doing book signings for his excellent book “The Big Print” and was signing books all day. If you are at Bitcoin Vegas - hit him early tomorrow in the exhibit hall before he runs out. After the Whale Party we headed down to Fremont Street to the Pleb Party hosted by Loren ₿ ⚡️🧡 and got to see so many of our Bitcoin First friends and listeners. Last night DarkSideOfTheMoon hosted smaller dinner party for many of the regular speakers on Bitcoin First — many many thanks to the graciousness and generosity of Dark and his wife for hosting the event. Tomorrow AM Fred Krueger and Ben Sigman hosting breakfast at Venetian — should be lots of fun. Great day. People should make a point to come to the next conference to meet Bitcoin friends and network.

** Sega Genesis 3D Engine Day 3 ** Blast Processing kicks In !! Converted the Line Drawing and Triangle drawing to 68k Assembly and gained 25% in the line drawing and 33% speedups in the triangle drawing vs C ( so far ) . The scheduler calculating the vertexs is still in C , just the drawing routines are now are in assembly . Possibly 5-10 % gains will come from the scheduler being in ASM also. The Line and Triangle drawing C code took some beating , it was surprising - particularly the line drawing to get a speed up over the C code in ASM. I guess its not too surprising as the C code was basically handling pointers and integers so I had to get exotic to find the speedups. Initially my ASM Line draw was 100% slower than the C code - the first pass conversion from C to ASM is always rough as its more about getting it working then refine later , but yeah 100% slower on first pass was brutal, after 4 hrs tweaking it was 25% faster than the C code so thats a good start - might get more yet. So added more squares and more triangles for load testing at the same frame rate. Its still not anything cohesive but right now focussing on performance in rendering to see how much can be pushed. As rendering will be the biggest cpu soak the faster that goes the better. The smaller triangles take about 1/3 the CPU time of the larger triangles at present so theres definately a fill rate limit vs the setup time to consider. The same would go for the squares been line framed - smaller ones would allow al lot more . #SGDK #SegaGenesis #SegaMegadrive

The smaller triangles take about 1/3 the CPU time of the larger triangles at present so theres definately a fill rate limit vs the setup time to consider. Happy 59th birthday, Laura Dern! David Lynch on why Laura Dern & Nicholas Cage were the only choice to play the lead characters in "Wild at Heart" (1990): "Interviewer: Having seen Laura Dern as the naive and almost totally innocent Sandy in 'Blue Velvet' (1986), I was surprised by your casting of her as the very hot Lula in 'Wild at Heart' (1990). At the time that seemed like radical casting. Lynch: No. For me it was Laura all the way though. A lot of people found that inconceivable. They knew and respected her work, but they couldn’t see her playing Lula. But every character is made up of so many little subtleties, strange choices, odd little ways of saying a word. Lula is a hard character to get a handle on, and bubblegum has a lot to do with keeping her on track! I just pictured Laura as Lula, and Nicolas Cage as Sailor. They seemed to be perfect together. I took them to dinner early on, when they hadn’t even met each other, and there was a huge fire on Beverley Boulevard at the Cinematheque. That was weird, the fire on their first meeting." I asked Jake Stauch about raising Serval's $75M Series B from Sequoia the day they announced their $50M Series A: "We closed the A in August and delayed the announcement until October. The day we announced, I got a text from Sequoia asking to come to their office. I was at a customer conference in Orlando. They ended up flying out and meeting me for dinner with a term sheet. They had talked to all of our customers. They talked to everyone I'd ever worked with, managers, peers, and direct reports. They also talked to all our competitors' customers. And they had a clear picture of the market, and just knew we were going to win. So instead of waiting on the sidelines, they wanted to come in immediately. And I initially turned them down. We had just fundraised. I didn't need the money. We were maybe 15 people at the company. I didn't have a way to deploy the capital. But I thought about it more. And talked to some references that had raised from Sequoia. And we decided the support on customer introductions and signaling, recruiting, and strategy would be valuable to us now vs waiting a few months."
