This is arguably Pengaudzoke's best album for me. The drumline has a backstory. When this album was recorded the drummer had left the band. I think it was Lameck Fadueki. So Josphat was who also plays drums taught Rangarirai Mupombera to play drums a few minutes before a show in Karoi. Ranga was the gate security & cashier guy for the band. He had never played drums before. That is how we ended up with this jam. If you listen carefully he was missing some beats here and there but that is why it is a work of art.

Ray Daniels (industry exec) says Roc Nation gave Fat Joe the Green Light go at J. Cole. Cole is a former ROC Nation artist who claims he had to buy his masters back and has since took Dreamville and himself over to Interscope. Remember Jadakiss said a couple months ago that the producers (ROC Nation) of their show give them talking points. Lots of people also believe the reason Cole backed out of the Kendrick beef was because he found out it was not just friendly sparring but a scheme Roc Nation/ Universal had a hand in that he didn’t wanna get caught in the crossfire of behind the scenes. Many people keep exposing the alleged nefarious conduct of the company.

During his Breakfast Club interview Jay spoke on how at one point they were pretty much signing anybody to Roc-A-Fella. He took the blame. But this was clearly all Dame’s doing. His ego was out of control. I believe that in summer 2002 is when Jay knew it was time to end it.
