I just remember taking a Stanford class called “Laughing Matters: Humor, Race, Class, and Gender” where we were tasked with investigating some fairly controversial aspects of comedy and culture in society. One of my friends did his quarterly project on mentally disabled people and their representation in comedy and the research he presented was pretty eye opening. One key aspect was how the majority of mentally handicapped individuals in previous studies and those he interviewed himself were highly likely to prefer being made fun of/the butt if jokes vs not being mentioned at all or treated differently by comedians. Because regardless of the joke, they felt that it was better to be included in a comedian’s set like every other demographic than it was to be treated differently and excluded.

That is freaking hilarious. Return to comedy where we can all laugh at each other. It used to be that way. Now everybody's so fucking sensitive and racist in a serious way. Thanks Obama. Good share Sara, I enjoyed that.
