As a former kicker & current coach, this is unacceptable. I’ve been playing or coaching for 30+ years & have never witnessed this level of disrespect for a band/halftime performance. Has anyone else seen anything like this before?? Young specialists, this is never okay.

One of my favorite ex-NFL kickers disagreed with my opinion. Really curious to know how much time was left when he started kicking. If the band was on the field past their scheduled time, that’s a different story.

If we aren’t confident enough to lose a couple kicks out of respect then we probably shouldn’t be trusted in the game situations anyways. At least that’s how I look at it.

as a kicking coach especially, the fact that you don’t understand why kickers go out there and kick on the field , regardless of who’s out there , is mind blowing . You only have a couple minutes to get kicks in and fix your mistakes for the 2nd half . Very concerning , smh

I completely understand the importance of warming up. I’ve just never seen an instance where a kicker didn’t have any time or space to kick a few after the band finished. Hoping to find out how much time was left before 2nd half when this happened.

That’s a football field and he’s a football player. The band is secondary. Nobody is there to watch them. Band gotta get out the way

I kicked on this field for 4 years - I can’t ever remember a time where the band was a problem with warming up for the second half. In fact, I don’t ever remember a time, at any place I played in my 4 years, where the band was an issue at halftime.

Brandon you’re over a month late on this and the kicker already apologized, why bring it back up now? Stop engagement farming

I completely agree what is the band doing getting in the way of the kicker doing his job completely unacceptable! It drove me Nuts when the band would go over on their time!
