As climate changes, so does the natural disturbance regime. The frequency and intensity of extreme weather events has been increasing affecting scores of wildlife over last few years. A century old banyan tree came crashing down in Solapur due to stormy winds and along with that hundreds of birds... - painted storks and herons nesting on them. Some adults, older fledglings and sub-adults made their way to safety but many perished, and many suffered injuries or are now orphans. RESQ CT RESQ Charitable Trust team and Solapur FD worked together to extract as many as possible. There are ones beyond help, but there are over 56 who have a great chance of going back post rehabilitation. We had a terribly long night stabilising them yesterday one by one, and we anticipate a few months of cacophony ahead (for whoever knows the noise these buggers can make!). Animals are resilient, they will (and have no choice but to!) adapt with changes in the environment over time. You would be surprised how many times I’ve had this conversation 🤦🏻‍♂️ Not all AAU programs are equal. There are some good ones out there for sure. I benefited as a player by playing for a club. But then… There are some bad ones. And with the bad ones comes a lot of wasted time, money and effort. Empty promises when it comes to development and exposure to college coaches. Some kids on these teams can’t make 10 free throws in a row or dribble with their weak hand but we have them playing 80 games a summer expecting it to magically improve. Then they go back to their HS Coaches as the same player they were the year before but expecting different results. Now kids should make more time for their own skill work as well but some of these programs require 4-8 hours a week at their “practices” plus travel and games every weekend…. Have you seen some of these AAU practices? Skill development is non existent in a lot of these. But isn’t the point to make the kids better? Just get better every summer and have a great high school season then worry about getting recruited. Some of these kids are on their JV teams expecting to get scholarship offers 🤦🏻‍♂️ There are bad trainers and bad coaches out there as well. I understand that. This is just my perspective and experience with the kids that have been in the gym with me over the last 7 years.

Update: The four fragile puppies dumped in a plastic bag. They are only weeks old—every nursing mother rejected them. We had no choice but to place them in the cat sanctuary… and the cats took them in with love. Now they’re warm, snuggled, and finally safe. Residents of Tshwane, we are back in Sunnyside this evening for a by-law enforcement operation. We are at the street that houses the popular nightspot House 22. That club and many other businesses here have been served with eviction notices by the City of Tshwane. These businesses don’t have valid permits and many are none complaint. We were here a few months back and some of those we closed managed to reopen. We are closing them down again. City of Tshwane

This last year and a half has been quite a challenging and equally awesome time. I’ve faced a lot of backlash for what I sing about, which in some ways has set me back, but in many other ways has opened incredible new doors. I had no idea there were so many of us who felt the same way. We’re fed up with much of what’s going on in the world. The systems that don’t serve us but pretend to. The institutions that rob us and keep us dependent. But what has been so beautiful is discovering how many of us feel this together and genuinely want to create a future that uplifts and serves humanity, and each other. There are so many people working for good, working for the light. I hope the music and art I make can contribute to that in a great way. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you. Thank you for having my back. I have yours too.

We are not okay, and that’s okay to say. I wish I could tell you that we are standing here and that the rest of the world is standing with us. With you. Sadly I can’t say that. There is a loud and aggressive minority around the world who doesn’t get, that being murdered at a peace festival does not equal resistance. I do however, know that we are standing here on behalf of all those people in the world, with moral clarity. And there are a lot of them. And there are many who want to be here with you. And they are here with you at heart. On October 7th, your loved ones went to Nova. We call it a peace music festival because that’s what it was—a place to make new friends, to let loos explore and celebrate life. And this juxtaposition hurts the most —because on that day, the light your loved ones were, was met with the most unimaginable darkness. Our lives will never be the same. But today, as we remember them, we also make a promise: to honor their memory by living as they would have. As we stand here in grief, we have a message to the world: we will not be defeated. Israel was attacked on October 7th and every day since, for the crime of existing. For the audacity of just being here. But we are here, and we are here to stay. And despite the trauma we’ve faced, we are in Israel, standing strong together, committed to the memories of those we lost and to the return of our hostages. We have known for quite some time that children are being medically trafficked away from their parents by adults like these. I have spoken to heartbroken parents who are desperate to get their children back and there is very little hope of that happening. Now, thanks to Project Veritas we have video proof. There are many more to expose and I hope Project Veritas will look into the LGBTQ youth hangouts and LGBTQ homeless shelters in CO, WA, CA, and OR. It's the same M.O.: gain the child's trust, tell them their parents are unsafe and don't love them, and that they will be their protectors now. I am so grateful this is being exposed. How many children has this pastor/youth director duo done this to? How many more are out there like them? This has to stop.

Mamdani: Government efficiency — these are words that somehow have been understood as if they are Republican priorities, when in fact they're the priorities of anyone who believes in the public sector. And yet, Elon Musk took that language and used it to cut as many jobs that were as critical as possible for so many of the neediest people across the country and across the world. Ours is going to be a focus on actually delivering efficiency. Not as a byword for cutting services, but actually a sincere commitment to efficiency. And we firmly believe not only in closing the last chapter of City government, but in starting the new one. The proposals that COGE will be looking at will be ones that we view as critical to unlocking the full potential of City government.
