The Flynas airline conveyed over 300 pilgrims from Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, directly to our state, marking the successful arrival of the 2026 Hajj return flight at the Gateway International Airport. This achievement further underscores our commitment to positioning Ogun State as a leading destination for aviation, commerce, investment, and economic growth. A Glorious Night in Abeokuta as Super Falcons Shine On Tuesday evening, I had the distinct honour of watching, live from the stands of the MKO Abiola International Stadium in Abeokuta, as the Super Falcons of Nigeria delivered a commanding 2-0 victory over the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon in a thrilling international friendly. It was a truly proud moment for all of us in Ogun State. We continued with the reconstruction of the Stadium Junction to Luba Road in Ijebu-Ode as part of our administration’s commitment to modernizing road infrastructure across Ogun State. On-site, ongoing activities include the casting of drainage base, formwork for drainage walls, and the laying of asphalt (wearing course). These works are critical steps in ensuring the durability and efficiency of this strategic road, which serves as a major link within Ijebu-Ode and supports both economic and social activities in the area.
