Hills I will die on as someone who has coached high school football for over 29 years: 1. If you are not PASSIONATE about blessing, serving, and empowering those you are blessed to coach, this profession is not for you. 2. As much as we need to know our trade, getting to know (and to love), our players is far more important. 3. This is an INTENSE game, and it’ll never be “just a game”, but it IS a game. Remember that when you’re with your team, and more importantly, remember that when you’re with your family. 4. Just as we teach our athletes to “leave things better than they found them”, we need to leave our athletes better than they were when they first entered into our program. Never let a day pass without pouring into each and every individual. 5. Life is complicated enough, let’s not complicate the game in such a way that we take the joy of it away from others. In other words… Keep it simple. 6. Our words carry little (or NO), value, if we don’t practice what we preach. WE as coaches should be learning and growing each and every day, just as we expect our athletes to. 7. As much as we all want to win those championship rings for our athletes, make sure you don’t lose your wedding ring in the process. 8. The athlete that may be “difficult to reach/teach” (the one who may get on your last nerve more than you could ever imagine), is someone’s EVERYTHING. Get to know them as human beings, find out what motivates them, and do everything you can to help them to thrive. 9. Be where your feet are. Don’t fall into the trap of chasing logos and thinking that a higher division, a bigger school, or going from HS to college, or even college to the pros, is going to be more rewarding or fulfilling. 10. The legacy you leave as a coach will never be determined by your wins and losses, but by the lives you were able to change for the better!

Some idiot has painted a cross on one of the hedgehogs, presumably so they can identify it, for some reason. If you want to identify hedgehogs, do it the proper way: pay attention to their size, shape and albedo. It's not hard if you're not lazy. Painting them is a bad thing. Don't handle hedgehogs (or *any* other wild animals) unless you need to and don't paint a target on them to mark them out by sight or smell to predators. It's stressful for them, the paint might be toxic and it can make it hard for them to curl up when they sense a threat. Just don't fuck with wild animals at all, they are not toys. They are not here for our entertainment. We should be delighted when they visit, not mark them as property.

Hills I will die on as an elementary school teacher, who just wrapped up my 32nd year teaching! 1. If you are not PASSIONATE about blessing, serving, and empowering those you are blessed to teach, this profession is not for you. 2. Our students are not “ours”. They are their families, and we need to understand the magnitude of the calling, and responsibility we have to meet them where they are, and to help them to get to a place that they never thought possible. 3. As important as the curriculum is (and it IS important), the children in our classroom are what matter most. It’s our JOB to teach the curriculum to SERVE our students, NOT to use our students to push any sort of agenda. 4. Just as we teach our students to “leave things better than they found them”, we need to leave our students better than they were when they first entered into our classroom. Never let a day pass without pouring into each and every child. 5. We should not teach our children WHAT to think, but HOW to think, and how to use that knowledge to bless and serve not only themselves, but the world around them. 6. Universities and High Schools have not moved rapidly enough to guide students to have skills for the next decade. THEY HAVE FAILED. It is a massive crisis that can be averted by understanding what AI and Robotics will bring about. Solutions are knowing how to use these tools and new industries that will rise. But this situation is also on ALL OF US. No “job” is safe from founder to entry level in most industries. You and I, by what we do, will be “replaced” ultimately. What to do? AI and Robotics are tools, the next decade is owned by those who know how to use them expertly, but this is also temporary. We have to understand that what we do for “work” will change giving ultimately a greater value to those that are: Creative Flexible Always learning Willing to be wrong Love being human Love being alive Know history Covet wisdom Knowing all tech has downsides Building strong family and friends Realize many institutions have failed The first four are required for you to be able to live through this period with your sanity intact. The rest will allow you to thrive. There are no true careers at this point anymore. There are advocation and vocations which will either earn you money or give life meaning. We will learn that we are not “what we do”, just like we knew for 99% of human existence. Let that sink in. — You and I are far, far ahead of knowing this and we can do two things: 1) Laugh at the “clueless” 2) Help people understand with grace Go to Reddit if you are 1, in fact don’t follow me because you will not like this next decade and what I post. You are 2 and thank you. Even if you and I have not solved this issue, we can help people understand what is ahead and with determination and creativity bound together to solve it locally. Or human family has done this millions of times. The evidence is: you are here. These Luddites will have a good point with the wrong answers cooked up by dying academics that cling to labels, “virtues” and victim hood. It will include YOU “volunteering” to “leave” by 60, to “help out” CanadaPod style. “Brian, I’m 24 what do I do?”. I hope to do much more here to help. But I do know this: 1) Learn a trade or vocation because it’s valuable. It may also be free to low cost if you do it right. 2) Learn everything you can about USING AI and TRAINING YOUR AI. We are going to open the Strait, as they call it, and I think it will happen fairly quickly, and if not, we will be able to finish it one way or another. Everything is going well. No nuclear weapon, number one. I think it has already been regime change—we never had that as a criteria. No nuclear weapon—that is 99% of it. We have other countries coming up to help with the Strait of Hormuz. We will have that open fairly soon.

I used to ask my New York friends Who were living in nyc check to check With a 80- 100k a year salary Why not move down south Where you can make that 100k Really feel like 100k And you can have a home a yard And more luxuries And they loved nyc so much that even though it made logical sense to move They would rather struggle And say “I live in NYC” Than ball and say I live in “Charlotte, Savannah, Charleston” Which would give them a better quality of life It took me a while to realize that The big city is so much a part of their identity Even if its pricing them out and has them living next to mice It’s so much apart of them that if they can’t say “I live in nyc” to someone who doesn’t They would lose part of their whole identity I say all that to say Chicago people are the same way

This little one has nothing but love for her shadow. 😍 But that’s not how all toddlers react. Young children experience light and shadow from birth. But as they become mobile, their OWN shadows become more and more evident. And this can be a little terrifying. I’ve run across dozens of videos of toddlers scared to death of the kid-shaped apparitions trailing them around. One way to help neutralize this fear is to engage in some proactive shadow play with your toddler. Using a flashlight (or the natural lighting in your home), show off - and discuss - your own shadow on a wall and encourage your child to play along. Demystifying their origins can go a long way toward making shadows commonplace and fun for your child - as they clearly are for this sweet little one. How did/does your toddler react to the sight of their shadow - and how did you help them them gain comfort with it? This terrific video was shared by a parent with the request it remain anonymous. nova’s first edition was a great success but honestly it would’ve been so much better if not for these miscreants. towards the end of the night, we were alerted to a situation involving them and a young lady that they sexually assaulted as she wasn’t in the right state of mind. we immediately stepped in and took it up with the police where they were questioned and properly dealt with before getting locked up i won’t be able to get into more details out of respect for the privacy of the person involved, but i’m putting their faces out here because people need to beware of them.

Am I missing something here, or is this like the greatest thing that has ever happened in transportation? Also FSD is still only $8,000? Let me get the facts straight: 1/ I will be able to put my Teslas in or out the Tesla Robotaxi network 2/ Each Tesla Robotaxi in the network will be able to generate $30K-$50K profit per year picking and dropping people off 24/7 (except when having to charge) 3/ So if I own ~25 Teslas and put them in the network, I’ll be able to generate ~$1M in passive income per year
