Trump did not help ensure their safety when he continuously made threats on social media to destroy their country if they did not agree to a peaceful solution. That inflammatory rhetoric was unnecessary and placed our military personnel in an even more of vulnerable position. I’m certain the men and women aboard the ship felt the added fear and uncertainty it created.
