The treaties are about separating populations, enabling Indians to make their way in the new world, & opening the door for integration.

First Nations people were settled onto these reserves by a series of numbered treaties, three of which deal with land in Alberta: Treaty 6 (1876), Treaty 7 (1877) and Treaty 8 (1899). The treaties also meant that all rights, titles, and privileges to the land were ceded forever to the federal government.

@Beatsie1 Aboriginal rights are protected by the Canadian Constitution. The only way for Alberta to separate is to offer treaty bands more autonomy and more self government than they have now. Would you trust the UPC to protect your constitutional rights?
