Yes but U.S. people should not misunderstand their government’s role. It’s important to get an accurate assessment of the geopolitical situation. The U.S. isn’t just ‘complicit’ or ‘kind of responsible’ -it actively enforces Israel’s genocide as a provocation to spark a wider war in West Asia, aiming to reassert its hegemony in the region. The ultimate target is Iran, just as weakening Russia is the goal of the Ukraine proxy war, and China is the focus of manufactured tensions in the Taiwan Strait. The U.S. supports the colonial zealots because only zealots are willing to carry out that agenda, and it has no choice but to back them.

This is why NYT and CNN say things that are critical of Israel from time to time. They want to muddy the record, so that one day that can come back to those sparse articles and say: “oh we weren’t OK with a what happened.”
