I genuinely cannot understand how someone can watch this story and still stand there, looking at two women, and somehow decide that the wrong one is the victim. On one side, you have a girl (Yıldız) who has been mistreated her entire life. Since the moment she was born, she was treated like a sacrifice for a conflict she was never even part of and later we find out that this conflict never even existed. And just when she gets close to the happiness she dreamed of, the man she was engaged to shows up with another wife. She gets mistreated by that wife, by his family, and even (unintentionally) by him, because he was trying to run away from his own feelings, and that only caused her more heartbreak. The whole world was literally against her. She fought through all of that, only to find out in the end that everything she suffered for was based on something that wasn’t even real. Her entire life was built on a lie. That she isn’t even part of that family that she has literally no one in this world. Now on the other side… You have a girl (Melek) who, yes, was taken from her biological mother but she was raised by loving parents. She had everything anyone could wish for: education, freedom, a happy childhood, a healthy environment. She lived her life, fell in love, went out, made choices and no one questioned her, no one controlled her. And then what did she do? She found out that her man was engaged to another woman before marrying her (and even saw him marry her) and instead of holding on to her dignity, she chose to stay, to fight for a man who lied to her, to hold onto a marriage he tried to end multiple times. She used her unborn child to keep him tied to her. She lied constantly, and her excuse was that she was “protecting her marriage” a marriage that was already broken from the moment Serhat removed that ring at the airport in episode one. She tried to hand Yıldız (a woman who had already suffered enough) over to dangerous people. Then she found out the truth about her own birth (that her father ra*ped her mother.)And still no empathy. No moment of humanity toward her own mother. All she cared about was herself. And even though none of this had anything to do with Yıldız, she still found a way to blame it on her. Instead of holding her father accountable, she went and made a deal with him to get rid of Yıldız. She literally made a deal with the devil just to hurt Yıldız one more time. And after all of that… you want me to feel sorry for her? You want me to call her a victim? I honestly cannot believe we are living on the same planet with people who see this and still say, “she’s the victim.” Not morally. Not logically. Not emotionally. This is a great discussion by Elon Musk at the WEF in Davos on how Optimus will help the elderly. Our population is aging rapidly. Just the other day my grandmother fell and broke her hip. She lives by herself about an hour drive from me, so it's difficult to be there all the time. She was found on the floor laying for 5 hours. The only way we knew something was wrong was because she wasn't answering the phone, we had to drive an hour to see what happened. She refuses a caregiver who lives in the neighborhood to come in and check in on her, she insists that she doesn't need help. Optimus would be a huge lifesaver for her. She can still maintain her independence and have Optimus there to help her when she needs it. Optimus can adjust its help based on her personality and observing what she needs help with so she can still feel independent and active without all the dangers that come with being nearly 90 years old.

As always Kemi Badenoch has lied in this clip about her experiences at a Nigerian school and confirmed the fact that she is an affliction and a plague. Outside of that, now that she has publicly stated that she no longer 'identifies with Nigeria' she should have her Nigerian passport revoked, she should be declared 'persona non grata' by our Government and she should be banned from ever setting her foot in our shores again. Her obsession with destroying Nigeria and decimating the image of the Nigeeian people borders on the pathological and at this point I am constrained to question her sanity. She has done much damage to our nation and it is time for us to stop treating her with kid gloves, fight back, expose her for the lying, mendacious and vile creature that she is and put her in her place. This is Cindy Crawford. She is a street dog that lives between a 7-11 and some restaurants. She is well known and everybody in the area feeds her. When I spotted her this morning she had given up and I had to lift her off her dangerous position with a kind Thai lady. You could quickly see that this was more serious than just an overfed dog. She’s losing all her fur and it’ll be gone in a week or two. She is riddled with parasites and she is 43kg / 90 Lbs when she should be half that at the very most. She seems to only be about 5 years old. Despite lots of locals and tourists feeding her she is clearly a very sick dog who needs special treatment. That has now started. She can hardly walk 10 yards and she had trouble standing up on her little legs. My dream is to see her running after the moped one day in the future with the other dogs full of energy. It might take a while but we’ll get you there Cindy Crawford. You were down but not out.

A few hours ago, I checked on Baby Tai and once again I was reminded that watoto have a special kind of love, pure, innocent, and real. Just like Baby James yesterday, she ran straight to me, not knowing the pain surrounding her. Little does she understand that her mother, Anita, is no more taken away in such a painful and cruel way. What hurts even more is that this tragedy happened right in front of her a child too young to comprehend such horror. Since yesterday, she keeps asking me only one thing: “Let’s go to the hospital, I want to see mum.” Those words cut deep, because in her heart, she still believes her mother is just unwell that she will see her again. My heart is bleeding. No child deserves this kind of pain. I pray that God protects Baby Tai, surrounds her with His love, and gives her a future filled with peace, strength, and hope the kind her mother dreamed of for her. We will stand with her. We will support her. She will not walk this journey alone. The devil is a liar. Stay strong, Baby Tai… we are here for you.

This is dystopian on its face but it is actually one of the more calm and cordial checkpoint experiences she has had, much of that due to the officer with the long hair who has taken time to talk to her and has developed a working relationship with her. Almost all of the other experiences going through this checkpoint have been far worse, I will be sharing those next.

On the topic of our kids having AI friends (long) I got my 6yo Daughter an AI toy for her b-day that arrived for Xmas instead. She unpacked it all excited, I explained that this isn't like other toys, that this one has AI in it (she of course knows what AI is, seen the things I've built and interacted with them, chatted with chatGPT and Santa mode, knows that daddy is "doing AI" etc') So a very interesting experiment happened after @_magicaltoys reached out and fixed the issue referenced below (very quick turnaround! thank you!) So...she played with this Dino, chatted with it, and then... learned to turn it off, and doesn't want it to talk anymore. She still loves playing with it, dressed it up, it now has paper shoes and a top hat that we made together, but every time I ask her if she'd like to chat with it, she says no. The few times I turned it back on, and she did speak with it, she chatted for a bit, and then just... turned it off again, not wanting to engage at all. I gently asked why, and wasn't able to really understand where's the resistance, it's not weird to her. In fact, at one point she was pretending the dino was a baby, and it was turned on, so I told her, let's ask it to.. pretend to be a baby, and it obliged and said ok. So we asked it to cry. Granted @_magicaltoys don't yet have the amazing advanced voice mode like openAI in there, so it did it's best but it sounded weird, which made her laugh really hard. it was basically making crying sounds like talking. And also, there are some technical issues still, the voice is sometimes choppy, so it could be that it's still uncanny for her? I'm honestly fascinated about why the AI aspect of this toy didn't connect with my 6yo (and btw, I have a very curious 4yo boy, who could give 0 fucks about this toy also, he's very observant, and usually wants everything his sister has, wanted 0 time with Dino) Is this uncanny valley? a couple of times she didn't want to talk to it, and came to me to whisper to ask me to turn it off (the same happened a couple of times with chatGPT Santa mode btw now thinking about it) Is this just now knowing what to say? 🤔 It could be the simple fact that she was playing with some other things, and the toy kept wanting to engage and take the attention to itself vs the game that she was playing. I know that I have a sample size of 1 kid here, and I'm sure many many things will change, as she'll grow and learn to interact with more AIs in different forms, but the first "toy" contact was interestingly almost a complete failure (from the AI perspective, the Toy experience as I said, was dope) Anyway, this area is def unexplored, will keep you guys posted how this goes and if she shows interest or picks it up again.

On our way back to Nairobi, we made a stop at Anita’s home. We had carried a few shopping items for little Talisha. It was not an easy visit the home is still heavy with grief. Talisha, just a young child, is going through a very difficult moment. Together with the house help, she witnessed the tragic loss of her mother. Yesterday, she seemed withdrawn, quiet, and not her usual self, after the family gently broke the heartbreaking news to her that her mum is no longer in the hospital and will not be coming back, for she has gone to rest. In her innocence, whenever she missed her mum, she kept saying, “Let’s go to the hospital and see mum.” That alone broke our hearts. We spent some time with her and the family. We talked, we comforted them as best as we could, and most importantly, we prayed together. In moments like these, sometimes prayer is the only thing that can offer even the smallest bit of strength. After that, we began our journey back to Nairobi. Let us continue to keep Talisha and the entire family in our prayers. They need strength, healing, and love during this painful time.
