Why I'm blushing

Halsey raised some questions in her interview with Zane Lowe: “What artists are doing the numbers I'm doing with an experimental concept album?” I ask the same question about Tae: “Which artists, both in the K-pop industry and in the industry in general, without the support of high-impact collaborations, aggressive campaigns, or significant placements on official playlists, radio stations, or major international promotion, can achieve the same numbers as Taehyung?” And I add: “Not only without such tools, but also facing explicit sabotage from their own agency?” Where should I begin? With BH restricting Layover performances or trying to prevent them from being posted on YouTube? Or when they planted thousands of negative comments about the album in an attempt to influence public opinion? With BH, sales were canceled. There were delays and stocks ran out. Links? A mess. No CD. One version. Vinyl? It arrived a year later, with BH requiring retailers not to display vinyl on their shelves until the end of the Billboard tracking week. Kim Taehyung's trajectory on Spotify is no longer just numerical, but symbolic. Surpassing 5.1 billion streams on Spotify across all his credits and selling over 5.1 million units worldwide of his album “Layover,” in a scenario where most artists rely heavily on exposure generated by algorithms and mass marketing, makes Kim Taehyung a model of organic and sustainable consumption. Contrary to conventional streaming dynamics, Kim Taehyung has become an artist capable of building a solid musical identity, generating lasting global engagement, reflecting the strength of his unique artistic identity. Director Uhm Taehwa mentions Taehyung’s excellent acting and direction for Love Wins All MV in an interview for Muju Film Festival! Hosted by Editor-in-Chief Joo Sung-chul JSC: Do you know that… V, this BTS V, Kim Taehyung is going to be discharged on June, 10th? UTH: Yes, I know about it JSC: Have you perhaps gave him a call or… to give him congratulations. UTH: I sent him a message~ JSC: There is not much time left. The reason why I bring it up is because, the views for this music video is so huge! I think it went up to hundreds of thousands. In the comment section, everyone is saying, "Mr. Director, please do a movie with our Taehyung after he completes his military service." There were so much of these comments. So I'm curious to know, as someone who saw him on set, how was he about acting? For example, his passion for acting.. UTH: For me, if Taehyung would be willing to do so, I would be so grateful. I would love to work with him, even if I had to make up a role and ask him. And on set, we had fun working together. We only filmed for 2 days, and he enlisted I think about 2 days after filming that. Almost right before enlisting, he filmed with us and cut his hair right after he was done filming, and then left the next day I think. To that extent, he really wanted to work together. He was very passionate about it. And that's when I knew that he had a desire for acting. And for real, I'm not joking, but it would be so good if we could work together in the future. JSC: Do you have any nice stories about him? UTH: Uh *thinking* JSC: It was only 2 days so there wasn't much time. UTH: Originally.. Well in the end, they sing while wearing the wedding dress. There was this scene where they're up on the stage, singing. The two of them were originally supposed to dive into the audience and crowd surf. But with only having 2 days, we really didn't have enough time. But as a director, I really wanted to film that scene. I thought it would enhance how their emotions erupt. So until the end I was trying to make it work, and then Taehyung convinced me. He said, "Instead of this, how about we film another scene better?" So he convinced me, and we really didn't have enough time. If we kept my idea, then we might not have had time to film the other scenes. So everyone including the audience actors were worrying how to do this scene. So Taehyung talked me out of doing that scene, and said to the audience actors, "Everyone, I got rid of this scene!" And I remember everyone got so happy and cheered out loud. 🔗

Taehyung is the biggest factor that attract new people to BTS, in addition to his amazing talents, Taehyung is extremely genuine, he doesn’t let society dictate his actions. He is unapologetically himself and that’s a man worth following. 👩🏻 I stayed up last night watching interviews of BTS. The more I get to know them, the more I love them. They are unapologetically themselves, and they're so real, and I think that's why they have such a strong fan base. I was watching this one interview with, I think it was Rolling Stone, and in the middle of the interview, V, he was talking about one of the songs, and JM said, Hey, you have snot coming out of your nose. And V just stopped, got some tissue paper, shoved it up his left nostril, and went on with the interview like it was nothing. I love that so much. He did not care. As someone who is also Korean, for most of us, we're raised to be, to be prim and proper in front of people that we don't know. There are certain expectations of you, certain things that you're supposed to say, things that you're not supposed to say. The fact that he just went in with the interview, he did not let that stop him. For most celebrities that would have been in the same situation, what they probably would have done, most likely, is pause the interview, go to the restroom, take care of business, come back, and ask the people to edit that part out. He didn't do that, you guys. And I've already been a big fan of them, and now I'm an even bigger fan. (
