Incorporate him? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 just give the kid the ball & let him run the offense we need a floor general to give this team some kind of structure.

Assuming Rudy can catch a round basketball I 100% agree!

🎙️ Miles Bridges on LaMelo Ball: "He was passing the ball like crazy today and that (dive for the ball) decided the game." "Melo knows when he wants to guard, he can guard. We gotta continue to encourage him to be him and be impactful the way he can be, as we know he can be."

Jeff Teague says Brandon Miller can be at top three shooting guard in the league next year with LaMelo Ball being traded: “Him and Kon Knueppel they about to be the featured players…. He got the potential he averaged 20 last year, and he going to have more of a passer, not saying LaMelo don’t pass, he got everything, he one of the most special players in the league but there is going to be dude that’s looking for him.” (Via Club520podcast)

🎙️ Bill Simmons goes over his NBA Lottery Karma Rankings: "Charlotte, who's in the 14th spot, 2.4% chance to move up, but Kon (Knueppel) was the 3rd pick, (Brandon) Miller 2nd, and LaMelo (Ball) 3rd. They don't really need another top 4 pick." "They really put together a smartly constructed roster... they went 3-for-3. You could argue (Tyrese) Haliburton for LaMelo, but nobody would've taken Haliburton 3rd in that draft... so they get a little karma for how well they've run the team the last couple years."

Ty Lue said the Clippers are going to give Keaton Wagler a lot of on-ball opportunities. “A lot of opportunities. Because he’s a great pick and roll player. Just mixing it up when he’s bringing it up the floor, when he’s catching the ball with a live dribble, running pick and rolls. Just give him different looks. We know he’s a great pick and roll player so we want to make sure we use him the right way.”

Asked Shai Gilgeous-Alexander about former Thunder teammate Chris Paul, who retired yesterday: “Chris was special for my career. Off the court, he was the first person that I was around to really take care of their body and show me the importance of the weight room. His life was really like a regimen, and it allowed him to be successful on the court. Chris was like the first point guard for me. He was the first point guard that I studied. I was in high school, and I was watching how he read the pick and roll. I was watching how he controlled the game. He was the standard for a point guard. And obviously, fast forward a couple of years, he’s one of my closest friends.”

Asked Ayo Dosunmu what he learned about playing with Rudy Gobert last season and how he thinks that process might go for LaMelo Ball. "I learned that Rudy defensively, sometimes his defensive metrics don't show up in the stat sheet... You have to really watch him over time and play against him to really see that. And I think he will do a great job of helping Melo in that aspect."

Chris Finch talked after the game about the Wolves' defensive issues and issues with competitiveness tonight. When asked how to draw that out of the team, Finch said... "Ask them. It's on them. They gotta come and put the work in. It can't be a sometimes thing."

Gilbert Arenas rips the Charlotte Hornets over Lamelo Ball 😬 “First of all, it’s Charlotte. Do we care what they’re doing? If you want to give away Lamelo cause that’s the only reason people are going there. Lamelo Ball. If you didn’t have Lamelo Ball, when Jordan left, the team should’ve left. When he sold his team the NBA should’ve forced you to move your ass to somewhere else or got rid of them. So unfortunately, the only reason we pay attention to the Charlotte Hornets, is because of LaMelo Ball” (Via Gilbert Arenas)

🎙️ Kirk Goldsberry: "The Charlotte Hornets have the best offense in the NBA over the last 15 games." "They are surging on offense. To your point, we've always known that LaMelo Ball had more talent in his little finger offensively than just about any other player in this league." "But Brandon Miller and Kon Knueppel play great together. I talked to one of their assistant coaches a couple weeks ago, and they were just raving about how smart those guys are together and how they feel like they have a real strong offensive identity now." "It's starting to click. They're averaging 124.3 per 100, #1 in the NBA by leaps and bounds over the last 15 games. That's more than 1/5 or 1/6 of the NBA season, and that's good. That's an identity." "We talk about the vacuum in the Eastern Conference. Well, I think Charlotte's onto something here. An offensive identity—like Detroit might be the defensive juggernaut, this could be the future offensive juggernaut led by LaMelo, Knueppel and Brandon Miller." 🗣️: Have you started thinking about your future after getting married? Mew : The main focus is financial planning for retirement. We have several businesses and there are also funds that need to be used. What will our retirement look like? I think it’s good to start planning early, how much we would want to spend in retirement, and how we can generate income now to support that in the future. Most of it is really about financial planning. 🗣️: And what about Tul? Mew : It’s something we talk about all the time. We both feel that when we get older, we want to live comfortably together. So we’re working hard right now so that life will be easier for us when we’re older.
