8-10 seconds remaining on the shot-clock to dribble-drive and SKIP PASS to the opposite corner for 3-pointers

Quentin Grimes is the 6'4 natural catch & shoot style veteran 2-Guard Luka Doncic and LeBron James needed for perfect harmony. 👍 An off the dribble style 2-Guard hurts the rhythm

Unqualified to be aggressive defensive specialist Marcus Smart though.

Lakers would have forced the OKC Thunder to a Playoff Game 7 without Luka Doncic if they had Quentin Grimes instead of Luke Kennard.

Eagles WR A.J. Brown: "Me personally, I truly believe we've got so many good players on this team and at times you can feel like we're being conservative and I don't think it should be like that...Let your killers do their thing and play fast and play aggressive. Not saying that we haven't been, but me personally that's what I would like. Obviously, we're going to run the ball and we're going to set up the run off the pass and the pass off the run, but we have a lot of good players and we should just let them go."

Adrian Autry: “We have a lot of guys that like to play with the ball in their hands, and we have to do a better job of moving without the ball.”

I asked AJ Dybantsa how he thinks he and Trae Young can find a good balance together as ball-dominant players: “I think we can definitely find a balance. I can play off-ball. Obviously not alot of have people have seen that, but I played off-ball at Prolific Prep, with Tyran Stokes and those guys. With [Team] USA, I’m not the number one option…I have to pave my way. I’m walking in with some vets [on the team], I have to earn my spot.”

Joe Burrow “If I didn't have that interception, I'm feeling great walking out of here. You can't make plays like that, so I got to get that fixed. Offensive line was pretty lights out. I thought we ran the ball, ran the ball well in spots, and you know, I got the got the ball to my guys in space pretty quickly.”

Asked Bronny about the balance of being on ball here vs the parent team. “I'm trying to focus now on bettering myself off the ball. Me and JJ have talked about all the ball handlers on the parent team, so I have to learn how to be effective off the ball. Have a .5 mentality."

Bam Adebayo on having Giannis Antetokounmpo as a teammate in Miami: “You got two frontcourt guys that can dribble, shoot, pass, we can rebound — obviously the defensive side is what it is, we know how great we want that to be. But you got two guys going downhill that are very mobile, that have high IQ that can pass — I feel like people are under-appreciating it right now because they haven’t seen it…as time goes by people are going to appreciate what we did or what we will do. “(Giannis) gravitational pull speaks for itself so we’re going to have a lot of open looks…” (via The Dan Le Batard Show)

LeBron James says he doesn’t know when the most important person in the summertime was the trainer and not the player: “Like the basketball trainer is the most important guy in the summer. I don’t know when that dynamic shifted because you know we used to play and a lot of my friends can attest to this like even when I got in the NBA you know, I built a little basketball court in my backyard in Akron at my house. I would get nine other guys and we would play in the summertime on a black court like we would play, like two or three times a week. You know, just get up and run and feel like the demands of being outside and also demands of another body like bumping and grinding and things of that nature. And this was like in July. I think it’s very important though. I think guys if you’re listening, you got to play more. If it’s not five on five, at least, twos on twos, three on threes, you got to get physical contact.” (Via Mind the Game)

Patrick Mahomes says connecting on more deep balls is a priority this season: “Whenever the deep ball is there, you have to hit it. At the end of the day, that just comes down to me throwing the ball and giving guys chances to make plays... If we can do that, as well as the run game, I think we can get back to being a dynamic offense.”

#F1 | Lewis Hamilton believes the team is very well equipped to take on the 2026 season: “Just to be in Fiorano, you know, to be at Ferrari, to be here, to know that this is a start of a long journey, but one that I know that it just feels right, I think the team is in the best place it’s been, I think, for the time I’ve been here. And seeing everyone so motivated and driven, I think we’re really on it.” “We’ve got a lot of work to do to really make sure we do all the diligence and we really understand this car and we really have to be quick to react, be very dynamic but I feel like all hands are on deck so I’m sure we can do that.”

Brian Cashman is asked how aggressively the Yankees pursued a shortstop on the trade market: "We tried to evaluate all opportunities on the marketplace...with that being said, I don't think there were lots of opportunities that existed that were upgrades for us. We like the players that we have, and we like the players that we have on the come. Did we look to upgrade, engage on infield opportunities?...there was nothing we were able to find there. It was going to be a high bar. We do think that we have the players, overall, that can compete for a championship. We're happy that we were able to bring in Ramos and Garcia to solve some of the problems. We're looking forward now to getting the other guys back from the IL, to fortify and finish this off super-charged."

James Bradberry on moving to Safety: “Of course I didn’t have my best season, I know we have Isaiah Rodgers and a lot of young guys in the CB Room.. I can still play corner, but I just want to be a valuable piece. I played a lot of under and Nickel, so I thought, why not?.. I knew we were gonna draft corners because I didn’t play too well. And now with me learning Safety, those guys can get a lot more reps.”

Kevon Looney says he now has a great feeling about what the Lakers can look like this season After the Slovenia trip and getting more time with Luka Dončić and the new teammates, Looney says he believes the Lakers have a lot of talent and a great chance. “ A couple weeks ago, I would say no. But after going on that trip and spending time with Luka and getting to know the guys, and playing pickup, playing five-on-five, and really getting to know myself with all the team, I feel like we have a great chance. You have a lot of talent. You know, you got a high-end talent like Luka, and AR you always have a shot. And we have, I think, great role players and guys that have been around that are gonna prove themselves. I think we got a shot.”

Mike Schmitz on the type of players the Mavericks are looking to put around Cooper Flagg: “He’s so versatile. I think that’s the beauty of Cooper. He can play with the ball, he can play without the ball, he’s got such a high IQ, and he defends multiple positions at a high level. I think there are a multitude of different players that can fit with that style, and I think that allows us to be really creative with different lineups we can put around him, and different targets that we can look to add in the draft, free agency, and a trade.”
