Assassin's Creed 1 Remake? HELL YEAH. The original AC1 had an unmatched, serious and grim atmosphere. You'd feel like a real assassin: - gather actual intel to locate your target - blend into crowds with social stealth - kill instantly with the Hidden Blade BUT the core gameplay loop...

Ubisoft has kindly provided me with about 12 minutes of new Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced gameplay Here are some of the biggest key highlights: - Ton of footage from a new mission involving recruiting one of the Jackdaw's three new comrades: Lucy Baldwin. This mission appears to be quite in-depth and quite long. - Crouch, manually toggle hood, hide in shadows and hide HUD with a button press all as new features - New gear such as swords, pistols, and ship customization items can now be found out in the world in treasure chests, previously most items were simply bought at stores - 6 hours of new story content including a new Epilogue sequence, written by original writer Darby Mcdevitt - There are new interior spaces to buildings - Guards have new dialogue, adding further to immersion - Interact with animals in new ways such as feeding turtles food - While hidden blade combat is not in the game, you can still counter kill with the hidden blade and do hidden blade finishers if you don't pull out your sword, however you cannot attack with them. - Pistol finishers make a return and are fully intact from how they were in the original - You can now manually choose which shanty you want to listen to, from a new shanties wheel menu - Menus are akin to the RPG style, with a similar inventory screen but AC4 Resynced is not an RPG. Also the OG menu sounds all return - Graphics have made a huge leap from the original game in every sense - Footage also provides a special look at one of the cutscenes involving Blackbeard - There are new treasure chests to find and new types of treasure chests - The Mayan side activity is back, with using eagle vision to line up pillars same as in the original - New Modern Day related messages and data can be found in the open world Once again, thank you so much to Ubisoft for kindly providing all of this footage! #ubisoftpartner #ad

Chamath: “What does the Fed actually do in 2025?” Chamath lays out the Fed’s four core responsibilities, and if they should continue doing them in 2025: – Lender of Last Resort ❌ – Monetary Policy ❌ – Banking Regulations ✅ – Clearinghouse ✅ “We have an extremely vibrant, and complicated, and interconnected $130T global economy.” “It's moving at the speed of light.” “The Fed gets together once a month, tries to divine what monetary policy, what the money supply should look like, based on data that is often incorrect.” “We see that in the BLS data, we see that in the GDP prints, we see it in all of the inputs.” “So I think the real question is, there are certain parts of what the Fed does that they can continue to do, and I think everybody would probably say it's an okay thing.” “Could they be a lender of last resort? Personally, in my opinion, no.” ❌ “I think that Treasury does a better job, and I think that Treasury has a better mechanism to get the American taxpayer a win than the Fed does.” “Do they actually create monetary policy and price stability? I would say that the capital markets and the free markets actually do a better job of that.” ❌ “They define much more what the spread is. I think SOFR is a much better rate mechanism than the Fed funds rate at this point.” “Do they do banking supervision and regulation? Yeah, they probably do a reasonably good job of that.” ✅ “Do they do a good job as a payment system and a clearinghouse? Again, probably something that's pretty uncontroversial that they could continue to do.” ✅ “The bigger picture is the two things that are the most dynamic, they are the worst at doing.” “And so I would actually question whether that responsibility should sit with a handful of humans looking at faulty month-old data.”

🎓 Learn how to create a Cherry Wood Material in a matter of seconds in my latest video series (AAA) Pro Tips! ____________________________________________________ In this video, the steps are as follows: 1. Create a slightly red-colored fill layer with high gloss to act as the woods base material. 2. Add a second fill layer with a black mask, and inside that mask add a stripes greyscale set to planar projection. These stripes will act as the wood rings and should be projected onto your mesh in a natural way. The stripes should also be set to max softness, and followed by a Directional Noise 3 with a blend mode set to Difference. 3. Add a levels to tweak the mask and add an anchor point to the mask as well. 4. Create another fill layer with a dark brown diffuse, and store the information from the anchor point into its mask. Apply a levels to increase its intensity, and then add a fill layer up top with the anchorpoint information applied again, but set its blending mode to Subtract. 5. Create an additional fill layer with a very dark diffuse channel. Add a mask to the fill layer and inside its mask add a fill layer containing the anchorpoint information, from the Wood Rings. This fill layer can now be used to add some dark contrast to the center of the wood rings 6. A warp filter should also be used to apply some subtle imperfections to the wood rings and grain. Now we are left with a very nice result of Cherry wood! ____________________________________________________ More AAA Game Dev Tips can be found on my YouTube channel here: Stay tuned for more weekly Tips. My Spoiler‑Free Review of Star Wars Outlaws I spent around 30 hours with Star Wars Outlaws, completed the main story, and played a good amount of side content. Overall, I genuinely enjoyed my time with it, even though the game clearly has both high points and noticeable shortcomings. The visuals are one of the strongest aspects of the game. Cities, lighting, character models, and ray tracing all look impressive, and the game genuinely feels like a true current‑gen release. I played on PC with an RTX 5080 and an AMD 9800X3D, and most locations ran smoothly. A few areas were demanding enough that I had to lower some settings to keep the framerate consistent, but the overall optimization felt solid. The planets feel alive thanks to the populated hubs and the amount of environmental detail. You can tell the developers put real effort into making each world feel lived in. The seamless transitions between planets add a lot to the immersion. The worlds look great, even if they aren’t packed with activities, and the planetary travel works well for a story‑driven open‑world game. Even though I have not watched the Star Wars movies, the game still delivered the Star Wars atmosphere convincingly. One downside for me was the absence of lightsabers, which felt like a missed opportunity. Nix, your companion, is genuinely helpful and makes stealth much more manageable. I’m not a major fan of stealth games, and that was one of the reasons I didn’t buy Outlaws at launch when I saw in reviews that the game had a strong focus on stealth. On normal difficulty, the game is flexible enough to let you mix your approach, but you still need to take a few enemies out quietly first if you don’t want to make things harder for yourself. The stealth system itself is simple, maybe too simple for a game that relies on it as much as this one does. I am judging this based on normal difficulty, so harder modes might offer a different experience. Gunplay is satisfying, even if it is not particularly unique. The story left me with mixed feelings. Most characters were not very memorable, and while the mission structure is fine and the pacing works well enough, it never becomes anything special. That said, I enjoyed the balance between stealth, combat, and exploration, and traveling around the planets with the speeder was genuinely fun. The space missions and dogfights were a welcome change of pace. I just wish there had been more mission variety and that Ubisoft had taken a few more creative risks. Combat overall is enjoyable, although the limited weapon variety holds it back and makes encounters feel repetitive over time. One thing I did appreciate was the syndicate system. It isn’t very deep, but it adds some personality to the world and makes the different syndicates feel more distinct. It’s simple, but it fits the game well. Lockpicking and hacking were surprisingly enjoyable. They were challenging enough to feel engaging without becoming frustrating or time consuming. Considering how often you encounter these mechanics, Ubisoft did a good job keeping them fun instead of turning them into chores. The game is in a good technical state on PC. I cannot speak for the console versions, but I only encountered one minor visual bug during my entire playthrough. The only thing that felt off at times was Kay’s facial animations in certain scenes, which could use more polish. Overall, I had a very good time with Star Wars Outlaws. It is not a masterpiece, but it is an enjoyable experience despite its flaws. I can comfortably recommend picking it up on sale or playing it through a subscription. I also hope we eventually get a sequel or another Star Wars project from Ubisoft, because Outlaws offers a good base to work from, and a sequel could expand on it nicely.

❌❌❌❌❌PLEASE SHARE❌❌❌❌❌ This is an heartbreaking 💔 post and one we need our followers help with to get out there, one to raise awareness and two for any information that anyone may On the 25/01/2025 a teenage girl was out riding her horse (Loki) with her cousin in Loft House West Yorkshire, on Lingwell Nook Lane on the old pit stack. While on the pit stack there was a male in his 50-60, bald head, glasses on and wearing a blue rain coat with black joggers on. He had a chocolate coloured spaniel dog with him that was off the leash and out of control, the young girls asked him to put the dog on the lead while they passed but the man told the young girls “ fuck off this is public land” as the dog was running out of control around the horses Loki spooked and started to buck, rear and kick. The teenage girl was thrown from Loki’s back just before he bolted to try and escape the dog. Loki ended up running out onto Leeds Road where he was hit by a car and suffered catastrophic injuries to his legs, his injuries were truly horrendous and all 4 legs were shattered. Loki fought to get up off the road but of course due to his four broken legs he couldn’t and sadly he had to be put to sleep in the road. The gentleman that hit Loki is absolutely devastated and his car a total write off. If anyone has any information on who this dog walker is can you please PM the page or ring West Yorkshire police. This post is also to make people aware of the disastrous consequences for not putting your dogs on leashes around horses. RIP Loki, you was a beautiful soul and will be truly missed by your family 💔
