Ubisoft has gained this reputation after years making games that have been bad by current AAA standards and dogshit practices that every time I post Assassin’s Creed BF Resynced content, there has always been a comment or reply asking me “how much did Ubisoft pay you?” To make it...

I mean, everyone has a different opinion toward games. I guess your determination to enjoy Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced was so high that it overlooked all the problems the game had. I don't blame you, though. Everyone has a different opinion. I also had a lot of expectations for this game.

I give UBI credit for listening to the fans and delivering a heavily requested remake. They are a bit desperate and need a hit BADLY! I’ll give take it! $60 got me 2 digital copies that my wife and I can play on two separate PS5’s (family share). So far 7/10

I'm having fun. You'll find games are more enjoyable when you stop listening to every gripe about a game. I'm reminded of a saying from one of my favorite anime, Nadesico. "Just enjoy it for what it is." Living in anger is tiresome. Been there, done with that.

Genuinely asking how on earth do people get bothered by paid cosmetics in a single player game? Not like buying those skins give you any perks and boosts to skill. It’s only a skin that you can completely ignore if you don’t want to spend money like how most of normal people do

Imo this remake shouldn't cost 60$-70$ all of it looks the same with just a fresh coat of paint, if anything i'd wait for a sale til it's down 20$ for the next 6 months just like i did the same for AC mirage, not everyone needed to sound like SynthPotato you know.

It's just remaster, not a remake, way too overhyped. Not worth paying 60$ for upgraded visuals like it was full new game if you already have OG version.

Oh shut the hell you wimp. ''How much did they pay you'' is hardly exclusive to Ubi. If you love your little pirate game, great. Stop being a pussy to criticism of it. You didn't make the fucking thing.

I might play it next year. But I'm certainly in no rush to get it. I've regretted every Ubisoft game I've bought after Far Cry 3

My thought is that it taken them more than a decade to make interesting, engaging game since Black Flag, and it's Black Flag Remake (ok, Rogue as well to be fair, but it's just copy of a Black Flag in NA with better story)

One good thing doesn't fix everything, and unfortunately, their dogshit practices are here to stay. It's not even just about the DLC costing more than the base game, or cramming live-service mechanics into a single-player game; Ubisoft went ahead and laid off the very developers who made the game. They are beyond saving at this point.

When the game is focusing on remaking the og game it's great and some of the new content is either a welcomed QoL or a nice new mechanic/quest, BUT the new cutscenes for these quests are obviously worse since they don't use mocap and the writing isn't always equal and ->

Ubicuck lost my respect forever the moment they decided to betray their fans (and the world) by forcing harmful LGBT and leftist propaganda everywhere. That’s also the reason their games have been trash because their focus wasn’t to make good games. NEVER give money to them!!!

It’s a breath of fresh air. Best AC since Unity. Which is terribly underrated. I never really got into black flag back in the day, Jesus it’s the best one of the series.

I’m playing Assassin’s Creed Black Flag for the first time. As a classic Assassin’s Creed game, it offers fewer distractions than recent titles and boasts a well-crafted story. While I’m not particularly focused on the graphics, I appreciate the gameplay. I skipped Assassin’s Creed Shadows because the story didn’t appeal to me. Far Cry 6 was also average. In contrast, I was expecting Avatar Frontiers of Pandora to be a disappointment, but I enjoyed its artwork, aerial combat, and story. Online trolls have made bashing games and game companies a common practice. Ubisoft has been struggling to maintain a good run with its games and has rightly faced criticism from gamers where it was due. It’s not necessary to dismiss every game simply because you dislike the company or if mindless bashing is your sole purpose of online existence.

U don’t gain trust back with one redememable action. That’s the thing with reputation, once it’s ruined, it might take longer to gain back than all the years u cheated and deceived ur customers. And Ubisoft is one of the kings of deception. We’ll see how it goes from here on.

Everything good about resynced is because of the original game and the work of old ubi devs that left the company since

I'm not surprised it's selling, the OG is damn good, they copied and pasted the OG into the anvil engine that tagged of their usual shit onto it, I'm not falling for this Ubi will be back to normal with their next game

My 3 main issues with Ubisoft... 1) Having to use Ubisoft Connect launcher 2) They focus too much on making one game.. Assassins Creed and release too many.. 3) They are not willing to make another Splinter Cell game.. come on it's been a decade.. they've mad like 3 AC games.

I bought it for ps5 yesterday and so far I like it a lot. I’ve never been in to assassin’s creed before now. My only criticism so far is the movement when fighting can be a little weird if you’re around obstacles.

One criticism I always see towards games like Red Dead Redemption 2 and Grand Theft Auto VI recently is the topic of small details. "Why does a game need so many details, it doesn't make the experience any better and takes longer to develop" While I do agree with the fact that Rockstar Games development schedules in between each release keep getting longer, the fact is that when you aim for such a high level of realism in a video-game, its not about graphics anymore, its about immersion. I'm sure that if you played RDR2, you know that your horse sweating or its balls shrinking in the cold don't add much to the gameplay itself, but it makes the game feel like its real. This is precisely what sets apart Rockstar Games from other game studios, the level of immersion you get in those games is unbeaten. RDR2, a game designed for the PS4 console has a level of fluidity and immersion that I have yet to see in a video-game from any other game studio, each game mechanic seems to work flawlessly that it feels like a living and breathing open world game. Hell, sometimes you feel bad for shooting an NPC which never happened to me in a video-game before. When you're playing it, hours can go by and you don't even. In other open-world games, sometimes you can notice limitations, for example the same NPCs appearing in one object or the same scripted conversations. RDR2 manages to make that gap of a video-game and reality feel thinner, not get rid of it entirely of course. Making such a massive game filled with tons of details means that it can be can be played for multiple years after its release and not feel outdated. Its not all about details of course, when a game takes so long to develop, the stakes get higher each time and Rockstar Games has to make sure that they deliver on the story that is being told too, hence the reason why their games have always been historically good in terms of writing. Now to address the elephant int he room, the main issue is that as the complexity increases for each new release and optimizing all of these systems to work in tandem, the development time increases and we get longer periods of waiting. Is all of this worth it? In my opinion, yes. Its Rockstar Games after all, they have the budget necessary and the talent to achieve this kind of feat. Not only does it raise the bar for what is possible to do in a video-game, but it also is highly rewarding when you play the game for the first time and its unlike anything you've seen these past couple of years. When I finished playing Red Dead Redemption 2 for the first time, every new game that came out felt outdated for me. Just as technology keeps going forward, the same applies here with open world games too. What are your thoughts on this topic?
