It was sent to us by a FixVictoria member - it was the fourth time in four years that her home was targeted. Home invasions like this are happening every night in Victoria - and it’s getting worse. Residential aggravated burglaries are up 120% compared to a decade ago. In one local government area alone, the rate of home invasions is EIGHT TIMES HIGHER than it was in 2016. Worse still, around half the people committing these crimes are children. It is becoming clear to Victorians that public order has broken down. We are not safe in the streets. We are not safe in our homes. We are not safe anywhere. We desperately need to FixVictoria.

Many of the most influential pastors in Ghana have children living in America. Some of those children are even American citizens. In the United States, homosexuality is legal. It is not a crime. Yet these same pastors turn around and tell Ghanaians that Ghana’s lack of development is because homosexuality has not been criminalized. They claim the country is suffering or even cursed because of it. That is hypocrisy. Because if homosexuality truly destroys nations, then why send your own children to a country where it is openly legal and protected? Why trust your family’s future to that system? The truth is simple. America works not because of what people do in their private lives, but because the system functions. Basic needs are met. Institutions work. Opportunities exist. Ghana’s problem is not homosexuality. Ghana’s problem is the lack of basic needs, weak systems, and poor accountability.

This Colombian woman who only lived in Colombia for 10 years of her life, was granted US citizenship and when asked which country she’s loyal to, said Columbia. I’m with the panel on this one, if your loyalty isn’t to America, then you can go back home. The greatest privilege I’ve ever had (and am eternally grateful for) was becoming an American citizen. My allegiance is ONLY to America!
